Almost all of the users with integrity and rational thoughts have vacated the premises. Not only do most of the current users not remember the days of "these comments suck", but they're prone to get dismissive when you point out the truth.

I swear they are describing my cat pirate to a T. especially the bit about them pestering you when you're on the computer. My cat Pirate insists on coming onto my lap when i sit at the computer. he then lays down and goes to sleep. (or tries to). here's proof.

I'm probably going to get buried for this but that was an unsatisfactory ending. I know they're not traditional comics and that he needs a punchline but I would like better closure in some way at the end.

Not every Oatmeal comic can end with a chinchilla on a jet ski.
As to the ending, my parents cat does that (wakes you up in the middle of the night because it didn't get enough attention, or is hungry, or bored, whatever)
Our cat probably would, but we lock the door and turn on a fan to drown out it's loving cries.
