I've always had crappy penmanship but this still mirrors my own development to a degree. I have to be very careful lest my rent checks look like they've been written in pigin hieroglyphics.
westernbenglJan 11, 2011
Unfortunately, this is too true. It will only get worse as time goes on
grungegbunnyJan 11, 2011
How did he forge my handwriting?

The nice thing is, it doesn't really matter :)

Penmenship is important for certain neurological developments that can't be gained or trained through typing on a keyboard. There's something about the mechanics of writing that do it. Inasmuch as you can, whenever you can, write with a pen or a pencil.

Fantastic comment! I handwrite and type often. Handwriting is obviously more physically strenuous and this impacts my writing positively.
llanowarJan 11, 2011
Sadly, my development of handwriting has been at the last stage throughout the years.

Why is it floating above the blue line?
jerroldsJan 11, 2011
I was actually thinking about this last night - i switched to printing characters when writing sometime in highschool....i might go back to cursive writing cuz it does look more sophisticated :P
puppyadayJan 12, 2011
Your writing could look even more sophisticated if you spelled all words correctly, unless you save "cuz" and emoticons for typed documents, which would be interesting.
seroevoJan 11, 2011
Nearly the same thing happened for me but with spelling and grammar, with ICQ and MSN in place of (or in association with) the keyboard.
NyaanJan 12, 2011
:D sad but true
matt88Jan 12, 2011
s**t - that's me
sniperhareJan 12, 2011
He learned how to use a keyboard late in life. I was playing Read, Write & Type in first grade.
I had to spend months learning calligraphy in this gifted class, that was a waste.
rruddieJan 12, 2011
Lol kids these days cant even write in cursive all they know is how to type on a keyboard or keypad. Is this oatmeal digg worthy by the way?
