I don't think dishonesty amongst mechanics is as big of an issue as ignorance. I think many times mechanics are dishonest to cover up the fact that they don't know what they are doing.

True. But corruption in the industry runs rampant. Im working on exposing these thiefs. Ive been in the auto repair industry for 20 years and im sick and tired of it. Someone has to expose these guys because 9 out of 10 are thieves. If I have offended someone too bad. If your an honest person you wouldnt be offended.
