I love Groundhog Day, especially I loved the part when Phil, Bill Murray's character, stole the groundhog and the ensuing chase scene and crash.

They missed the movie 12:01 , which came out just ever so slightly earlier than Groundhog Day.

There is also a crappy Christmas movie called"Christmas Every Day" that I think deals with a repeating day. Not too because I was drunk while it was on but I think the main character goes on a killing spree at the end.
