Why is this even news? What do you expect when visiting a that part of the world?
Sarah Lane got parasites in her brain when she and here then husband, took a year off to travel the world. But that didn't make the headlines.
People can catch things, more so when they travel to parts of the world that are less advanced medically. It really is not surprising or even news worthy.
