Hey Sonicgarden, your name is just a s**tty remix of Soundgarden. Further, I challenge you to a guitar duel.
Remixes are excellent if done well, and you're a s**thead. Like any other music format, a successful remix can take tremendous skill. The very same skills used to create a guitar SONG, as opposed to a riff or lick, are those necessary to properly produce a remix. However, there are also a tremendous amount of other skills involved, that I don't image you have, or you wouldn't be knocking remixes outright like an arrogant illiterate. (Galifianakis) "Uhm... sonicgarden is a mix between sonic youth and soundgarden for one....
more skill goes into recreating it with a guitar(or any musical instrument) simply, making it sound 'cool' or different doesn't make it a respected art form

And yes, making things sound cool and different IS a respected art form; it is sound engineering, production, arrangement, etc. These are some of the most important skills in creating a good song as a whole no matter what instrument you choose, and apply in principle equally well to a remix.

right here on digg, I suggest a song of any genre you like, using guitar and any instruments you wish, and over 30 seconds long minimum. I also suggest, that is be in the key of F (major or minor), with a chorus that starts in e as to dissuade you from just digging up a recording and calling it yours.
We can let the digg community vote on which is better : )
