Reincarnation all day! I hope that I come back in my next life as a lion or a komodo dragon. Mainly because both of those animals are unbelievably badass to the point where you don't even want to f**k with them. I wonder who would win if they got into a brawl to the death.

My money is on the komodo dragon because it has "dragon" right there in the name. Everyone knows that dragons beat lions hands down.

What happens when you die? You die!
Simple as that, the switch has been thrown, you are gone, your brain stopped working and the neurons are not firing anymore, your heart has stopped and your lungs and blood system is not providing oxygen to the brain, the body stopped working and starts decaying - it's over nothing more.
And no - there is no afterlife - it's fantasy and based upon mythology and not reality.

Enter the Void. One of the most F'ed up movies I've ever seen but I enjoyed it even though I felt numb after like when I first watched Requiem For A Dream many years ago.

It's pretty much like before you are born - i.e. from your perspective... well, actually, you'll have no perspective after you cease to exist.
It's not just that YOU are gone, it's that the universe never existed.
'Life, the Universe, and Everything' only exists for you through your perception of it. When you die, that's all gone. Like car-keys-in-a-river-of-molten-lava gone. And it's not just that there is nothing once you die - you'd have to have a consciousness to even contemplate the meaning of 'nothing', and of course you don't.
Imagine a computer happily humming away, running windows and a bunch of programs. What happens to the operating system and the various programs when the hard drive suddenly stops? A Hard-drive heart-attack? The programs are just gone. Gone as if they never were, and that is our eventual fate too. (it would be nice to think we could be rebooted, but no one has even figured out how consciousness works yet, let alone how to get our 'program' running on another server before our first server (body and brain) start to decay and rot. Maybe this will be possible once we make the leap to computer bodies if we ever do0.
That's one of the reasons that it's so hard for many people to get their heads around their eventual non-existence. The brain being the organ we sense and feel and consider all these concepts with, it is impossible to step outside the brain to contemplate these question of what life will be like after our death, and impossible to separate 'our-self' from the contemplation of events beyond our deaths.Comment is buried, click here to see the rest.

They were really wrong with The Crow. He was brought back from the afterlife to the world of the living for revenge.
