FTA: "With all the hype, fans are just setting themselves up for disappointment if the 'Arrested Development' movie isn't the best thing to happen to cinema since 'Gone With the Wind.'"
Yeah, but how many Arrested Development fans have actually seen 'Gone With the Wind'?? ;)
larssonk22Aug 4, 2010
Jessica Walter, she was probably at the first screening, she was actually quite a hotty back then
hot tea

Is it just me, or does the third one down look a little bit like Kitty?
ronisize15Aug 5, 2010
I have seen both and gone with the wind isn't as funny imo.

I've made a huge mistake.
1krazykoreanAug 4, 2010
Just make the movie already
modiggity455Aug 4, 2010
come on!
kolop1Aug 4, 2010
It's going to be funny when this movie flops. Sometimes the vocal minority can be loud, but they are still the minority.
hetmanAug 4, 2010
You should just go blue yourself.
kolop1Aug 4, 2010
When idiots start quoting shows I just shake my head.
hetmanAug 4, 2010
"Let me tell you a little lesson, buddy. The cream always rises to the top. And I'm about to show you the white, hot cream of an eight-grade boy!"
trigonometronAug 4, 2010
31. Bamboo Flooring, stronger, lighter. I can't read this word
32. Wireless Crapability, that one's self explanitory
33. Arrested Development Movie,
34.
randall475Aug 4, 2010
34 ... Profit?
lordstandleyAug 4, 2010
"Obligatory Arrested Development"
lordstandleyAug 4, 2010
.....quote.
I'm retarded, I f**ked up my own comment.
borpoAug 4, 2010
I just thought you were trying to be really, really clever by putting it all in quotes. Like a subtle, unspoken thing.
Closed AccountAug 5, 2010
i am afraid you just blue yourself.
sreindlAug 4, 2010
Many AD fans prematurely blue themselves upon hearing the latest hype.
lordstandleyAug 4, 2010
Can not wait for this movie. I really hope they do the creative bleeping too, that made the jokes better in a lot of scenes.
How do you get much better than Busters rant against Lucille.
"Well, no one's going to top that"
You can't write that any better and not bleep it.
antonmossAug 4, 2010
Exactly. Especially GOB's epic censored rant on office party etiquette.
lordstandleyAug 4, 2010
Epic as well. Censoring the movie would be the biggest inside joke ever, but man would it be funny.
lordstandleyAug 4, 2010
Hell they don't even need to really censor the whole movie since they may go above people's heads who never watched the show. I would be fine with a censoring nod in the beginning and then transition into full on paid cable language.
Still prefer the beeping though.
simplyfungusAug 5, 2010
I can picture that the first couple of swears would be bleeped, until the family finds something in the house that is making the noise (broken down smoke detector, or whatever), and then Papa Bluth could be like, "I'm glad that s**t's over" or something. I'm no writer tho.
lordstandleyAug 5, 2010
I wrote a scenario very similar to that on the IMDB page. It would work great I think.
spacem00seAug 4, 2010
Hmmm so the news article doesn't follow its own advice?
larssonk22Aug 4, 2010
"If I think that news cycle is so crazy, then why did I feed into it? Well, because I had to. That's where the dilemma comes in. As much as I'd like for Hurwitz and the cast to just go and do their movie and let us know when it's done so we can lap it up like the starving 'Arrested' fans we are, we also have to report each little movie-related story morsel so we don't look like we're getting aced out. I don't fault any sites for running with the half-done script story, because people want to click on anything involving the show, even if it's a list of what Michael Cera ate for breakfast this morning."
jordanlgtaAug 4, 2010
So is this that movie based on that cancelled TV show that is popular to like on Digg since anything with a small following is hip to talk about?
jordanlgtaAug 4, 2010
Yes.
trigonometronAug 4, 2010
Woah buddy, take some Teamocil.
Oh yeah, you wouldn't get that joke because you suck ass.
grapeape25Aug 4, 2010
Maybe people just prefer quality shows instead of the reality s**t most networks put out now?
jordanlgtaAug 4, 2010
Oh wow, so the only shows on television anymore are reality shows? They must have aired the last sitcoms and dramas last night, hmmm.
hetmanAug 4, 2010
If you have netflix just watch it. You should at least watch it to see what people are talking about.
randall475Aug 4, 2010
Hey man, Arrested Development is not some kind of avant-garde hipster s**t that only "in the know" people know about. It's really funny. Watch it!
dragondawAug 4, 2010
"Not even the second 'Star Wars' trilogy got this much attention. "
Where was the intnernet in 1980? ...that's right not released to the public. So...you see how...you put it together!

shady14Aug 4, 2010
the second star wars trilogy. not the second in the star wars trilogy.
ikkeriAug 4, 2010
I believe I'm confused. He said the second Star Wars TRILOGY, correct?
Wasn't that released a bit later than 1980?
dwotAug 4, 2010
Seriously? He was obviously talking about Episodes I-III. Context clues.
enclavedAug 4, 2010
i'm not so much bothered by this guys comment. sure maybe he read it wrong and posted without thinking. i can deal with someone making a mistake
but it's the five or so people who dugg him blindly that i think are the actual retards.
bam22Aug 4, 2010
Now the story of a wealthy family who lost everything and the one son who had no choice but to keep them all together. It's Arrested Development.
larssonk22Aug 4, 2010
To the nuts! Not those nuts! The Bridge Mix, Bridge Mix! Fool!
trigonometronAug 4, 2010
Here's some money.
Go see a Star War.
tymeAug 4, 2010
An Arrested Development movie? This doesn't some like a good idea.
When was the last time a sitcom successfully made the transition to a movie? The format of sitcom's really doesn't translate well to a movie, IMHO.Comment is buried, click here to see the rest.
Closed AccountAug 4, 2010
It's formatted like a fake documentary more than a sitcom. It can work just fine.
momsshizzleAug 4, 2010
What news. You never hear any news about this really bad TV show.
dwotAug 4, 2010
Incisive comment, bro.
sanchomandovalAug 4, 2010
Oh come on...
Arrested development movie: 1,330 media mentions in 2010
http://news.google.com/archivesearch?q=%22arrested+development%22&scoring=a&sa=N&sugg=d&as_ldate=2010&as_hdate=2011&lnav=hist10
Star Wars: The Phantom Menace: 9,620 media mentions in 1999

And there weren't even hundreds of blog stories in 1999 to pad the numbers.
killermicrobeAug 4, 2010
this movie has no lightsabers...buried
theungodAug 4, 2010
This is all so stressful. I'll need to visit my Analyst/Therapist.
rjlaframboiseAug 4, 2010
Analrapist.
dubbfoolioAug 4, 2010
Hmm.... The hypocrisy is strong with this one.
eddiepotatoAug 4, 2010
Highly smart and cynical TV comedies generally don't translate well to the big screen, so I'm not that keen on this movie ever being made. Strangers with Candy and Run Ronnie Run (Mr. Show) are two prime examples of brilliance turned to mediocrity.
thekitchensinkxAug 4, 2010
Give this man a medal.
I am so tired of hearing about this movie. Compounded by how I didn't really like the original show anyway.
grantmoore3dAug 5, 2010
AD movie is happening!!
grantmoore3dAug 5, 2010
AD movie is not happening :(
