While I don't know that I agree with the tone of the article - it has some pretty good points. Though I would say that the movie is only 15 years too late.

20 years ago Arnold big hits of the last 5 years were Total Recall, The Running man, Predator and Commando. Stalone had: Rocky 4 and 5 and the 2nd and 3rd First Blood movies.
But 15 Years ago:
Arnold - T2 and True Lies maybe his two best works. Stalone - Cliffhangers, Demolition Man and Assassins.

If they make that movie in 1995, the money in the first weekend would have been off the charts.
