Made me cry. Also, I used to call it CP as a kid. I didn't know it was ET.
amyvernonAug 18, 2010
I did not even realize that When Harry Met Sally was still in the 80s
mdpatrickAug 18, 2010
I remember most of these!
heynow21Aug 18, 2010
Yeah I liked movies in the 80s, not sure I want to read some guy's opinion on what the best were.
drtriffidAug 18, 2010
"Fatal Attraction" goes in the same category with "Dangerous Liaisons" — films based upon the faulty premise of why anybody would want to insert their member into a guy like Glenn Close.
gobandAug 18, 2010
Everyone had always told me Blade Runner was a great movie, but I watched it and I thought it was TERRIBLE.
inioAug 18, 2010
Theatrical or Director's Cut? Makes a big difference.
neonevermoreAug 18, 2010
Try the Final Cut
lazymojoAug 18, 2010
Replicants tend not to like the movie... It's understandable.
samurai77Aug 18, 2010
Must watch the Final Cut.

If you've never seen the original cut of Once Upon A Time In America you should check it out. The American release was 90 minutes shorter than the European version.
misterfuriousAug 18, 2010
What a lazy list! Each film has a cut-and-paste description from Wikipedia. Buried...
worldgrooveAug 18, 2010
They left out some of my childhood favorites. And by favorites, I mean movies that significantly molded me into the person I am today:
- TRON
- Transformers the movie - the original 80s cartoon.
- Big Trouble in Little China
- Never Ending Story(forget about the sequels)
glitchenzoAug 18, 2010
A small nit-pick: TMNT 1 & 2 were released in 1990 and 1991.
cosworth99Aug 18, 2010
Blade Runner is a masterpiece.
Amazed that Aliens wasn't there or to a lesser extent, The Thing.
andyb747Aug 18, 2010
NeverEnding Story, Commando, Willow &..... Big.
....by the way the Batman Returns was 1992

I am disappointed that Repo Man is not on this list. Yet Batman is?
Blade Runner is in fact a masterpiece. I do like the original theatrical version.
Others Missing:
The Empire Strikes Back
Fast Times At Ridgemont High
Robocop
Star Trek II The Wrath of Khan
Raising Arizona
The Right Stuff
Rain Man
Ferris Bueller's Day Off
The Road Warrior
I could go on. So many great movies from the 80's.

Can't say I've seen more than 2 of these (I'm only 16) but that list sucked. No Toy Story, Avatar or Matrix.

Wait, where's Short Circuit?
insanebrainAug 18, 2010
The preditors short circuited after killing the aliens...
animalAug 18, 2010
Jeez, what's up with the practically cut and pasted google search images and IMDB synopses. They might as well have just listed the movies titles and and that's all. How about something witty or insightful as to why these particular movies 'rocked' the 80s...
antdudeAug 18, 2010
1980s/80s ruled.
sirlowkeyAug 18, 2010
The Breakfast Club
Weird Science
Some Kind Of Wonderful
Flash Dance
Near Dark
allanonAug 18, 2010

Urgh, Raging Bull was the most dull, overrated load of crap.
Weekend at Bernie's was far superior.
