I once I had a dream where I was in a futuristic alternate reality WWII where the Allies created an initiative to train psychics to hone their skills. I was in the top of the class of this program, having mastered my abilities of mind control, telekinesis, and pyrokinesis.
We were supposed to lead the charge on D-Day in a giant battleship designed to maximize our psychic potentional and use the entire squad's telekinesis to fly the battleship in and our pyrokinetic energy would shoot out of giant cannons and rain fire.
Winston Churchill was the overseer of the project, but just before launch it turned out that he had actually been under influence of the Nazi's all along and began a surprise attack on Britain, where the battleship was currently stationed. I took the initiative and let my mind flow into all the other psychics to control the entire battleship.
I'll skip ahead a bit, but the Nazi's ended up taking down the battleship and killing all the other psychics leaving me in a one to one challenge with Churchill. I broke his Nazi mind control and we ended up getting back into the battleship which I was then able to control with my power alone and destroyed the Nazi's and Hitler.
This was the most vivid dream I have ever had. I've never taken drugs or had alcohol prior to this( it happened years ago and I still recall it with perfect clarity.)

It doesn't surprise me that Lincoln "foresaw his own assassination." During his presidency he was wildly and openly hated, perhaps more than any other president in history. When you have that many people gunning for you, you'd probably have nightmares too.

Pretty decent compilation- dugg for omitting any reference to to Mulholland Drive. I liked Blue Velvet, but I hated that movie. Also, the artist in the Kurosawa film encounters Scorsese as Van Gogh, not Scorsese himself. That'd just be too f**king weird.

Charlie Kaufman's movies are really good in dealing with the psyche and the subconscious, specially 'Being John Malkovich', 'Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind' and 'Synecdoche, New York'.
