Maybe it's because I was young and a big Street Fighter fanatic, but I actually really liked that movie. I mean, Raul Julia as Bison? That was seriously awesome.

there were no super high tech special fx back then either. I think everyone just liked seeing their favorite characters on film. Guile got way too much film time...e-honda was hilarious. Chun Li was alright, and M.Bison was badass...he was over the top villainous and its entertaining.

Man i was soooo obsessed with street fighter, yeah was... lol
My favorite was the SSF2 on the SNES
At some point here i'm gonna get a saturn just to play the street fighter games i hear they are awesome on that system :D
what old skool street fighter was your fav?
vtbarreraMar 5, 2011
I'd have to say that SSF2 was my favorite as well.
And dude, you don't need to get a Saturn to relive all the old school fighting game glory, just get a nice emulator and some ROMs. Just make sure to have something like a fighting stick with a USB connector (like the ones for the 360) and you'll be golden. =)

That Hulk movie really sucked.... the one with Ed Norton was quite a bit better.
vtbarreraMar 4, 2011
I remember seeing the preview for the one with Eric Bana and thinking to myself "Oh s**t! This is going to be awesome if Eric Bana's character in Black Hawk Down is to be any indication". I asked for my money back after seeing the movie. No dice.
Closed AccountMar 4, 2011
well what do you expect when movie producers think its a good idea to always make the hulk run from humans. Why cant the hulk fight some extra terrestrials?its the same reason superman returns failed....too much drama and the antagonist SUCKED. why cant superman fight brainiac, general zod and other aliens?
seroevoMar 4, 2011
Still disagree about Transformers 2. If you think it was bad, fine, but while it may have been too long and some odd inclusions (like the Pretendacon or whatever it was the disguised-as-humans Decepticons are called), it wasn't "one of the most wretched excuses for a movie in history."
That, and go back and watch the cartoon. Childhood idealism aside, it was a very cheesy, poorly written show that was entirely an advertisement for toys.
ryanwbMar 4, 2011
I was 7 years old in 1984 so I lived the Transformers cartoons hardcore. I watch them with my kids on Hub some nights and they really are corny and cheesy. I enjoyed Transformers 1 because it had a bit of a plot and gave homage to the old cartoon. Revenge of the Fallen was incoherent and nearly insulting.
The humanoid robot I could look past, but the jive talking twins and the "Transformers Heaven" that Sam went to was idiotic. How is Optimus Prime the only one who can kill "The Fallen" (who was never in the cartoon) but he gets killed by the Decepticons realtively easy? At what point does the American military not want super kickass alien robots fighting on their side?
It wasn't the worst movie I have ever seen but it was one I will pretend does not exist.
absaysthisMar 4, 2011
Street fighter was funny then and looks stupid now..

Should be titled: "9 Films Nerds Love to Hate, That They Might Enjoy If They Gave Them A Chance"
neotechniMar 4, 2011
Batman and Robin was horrible though

I just watched part of that the other day on CN. Its a terrible movie...and it achieves the camp of the old crap tv show. I can say one thing though, george clooney as bruce wayne can act...unfortunately his talent was wasted and the writers/producers/costume designers etc... were stupid.
lokee73Mar 4, 2011
I never understood the hate for Watchmen.
Yes, I was a fan of the book long before the movie, I just didn't think it was as badly butchered as everyone wants to make out.
cymrichMar 4, 2011
I kinda liked the fact that they altered it... made the movie a little more unique and threw in a surprise that the comic fans wouldn't expect. almost all major plot points remained intact so it didn't really change the message at all.
couragewulfMar 4, 2011
For a minute I thought I did a bunch of crack and saw Street Fighter II on this list.
msiege2Mar 4, 2011
Uhhh, no. EVERY one of these is terrible. EVERY one.
woahitsdaveMar 4, 2011
I liked street fighter... There I said it, take that nerds!
bluebirdgmMar 4, 2011
Agreed about the G.I. Joe movie. As a grown-up geek I found much of it cringeworthy, but at the same time, watching it I knew my inner 10-year-old geek was going "This is freaking awesome."
At the very least...no Cobra-La.
rgb86Mar 4, 2011
I'm sorry, but there's just no defending G.I. Joe's awfulness. They blew up an ice sheet, and the ICE SANK, for god's sake!
Sure, lots of movies make huge scientific mistakes, but a lot of the time it's with obscure technicalities, or theoretical physics. Very rarely do they so profoundly mess something up that you can observe every time you put an ice cube in your drink.
colbalt0700Mar 5, 2011
Word, GI Joe sucked. Not all the movies on that list were that bad.
cymrichMar 4, 2011
starting the list off with transformers blows all credibility! that movie sucked big time... the robots were cool, but it wasn't about the robots... it was all about the annoying f**king humans... and thats why it sucked! the cartoon was awesome because it wasn't about the humans... they were only involved because it was taking place on the planet they evolved on.
rattelerMar 5, 2011
Uhmmmmm.... NO!
Hulk was just OK. The rest of them are crimes against our eyes and brains.
abstractj3Mar 5, 2011
Transformers was one of the worst movies I've ever seen, really!
