If you can get around the weird 70's style vibe to the movie, it actually is very entertaining and quite a good scifi story.

I thought that trailer looked friggin' awesome. Don't care if the critics hate it. Hot blonde school girls jump kicking giant samurai robots is all I need. Plus that is the best zeppelin song of all time.

The man keeps reading the diary to his Alzheimer's stricken wife so that she'll remember him for a few seconds, and then go berserk with confusion when she slips again? He keeps doing this to her, torturing her, and this s**t's supposed to be romantic?
