#11 They need to stop making movies with Woopie Goldberg in them
toksterjoksterSep 23, 2010
She is pretty bad.
diggplugSep 23, 2010
They need to "stop making movies:
prolikewhoaSep 23, 2010
Is this comment from the early 90s? Whoopie Goldberg?
boulderbumSep 24, 2010
#1 - Stop employing Friedberg & Seltzer.
Everything else I'm okay with.
jboitnottSep 23, 2010
Money made off of DVD sales has become just as important as making money in the theaters.. if not more important in some cases.
neotechniSep 23, 2010
That doesnt make doubledipping right
amyvernonSep 23, 2010
Are you trying to say that Ikea coffee tables don't have street cred?
mdpatrickSep 23, 2010
The funny thing is, I think M Night Shyamalan's name being all over the place was both a great success for him and a big downfall. At first it helped give his movies prestige, now people associate it with what's become kind of notoriously over-repeated style.
4degreesSep 23, 2010
stop being unoriginal.
stop re-making crappy movies, they are just going to be crappy again.
stop using 'shaky cam'.
just shoot on location, using a green screen to put someone on a beach is painful, and worthless.
stop making movies about a hard-ass that learns to love.
stop making movies for the sole purpose of selling toys and shirts.
ccpandaSep 24, 2010
I think you just destroyed the profits of most major movie production companies.
jonjonr6Sep 24, 2010
The shaky cam thing I never understood.
I mean, if it's supposed to be shot from first person POV, then you wouldn't see much shake if any. Your brain and eyes compensate for that.
cheloanSep 23, 2010
That's true. I can't even agree anymore.
RoguePicturesSep 23, 2010
#6 is entirely true! It's not the audience's job to figure out the plot, it's Hollywood's job to tell us the plot.
jmanlasmanSep 23, 2010
Stop the shaky cam! It needs to go away.

#867 stop using tough guys in "sensistive" or comedy roles and stop using pretty boys as tough guys. Paul Walker can be the doofy guy in fast and furious but not the tough guy. i also have a hard time buying Vin Diesel as the guy babysitting little kids, even if they are hunted by terrorists
jtieloSep 23, 2010
But isn't Vin Diesel baby sitting the idea, character brought out of familiar circumstances put somewhere unfamiliar to him, yet familiar to millions of people who watch movies
silentspyderSep 23, 2010
Who is your daddy and what does he do?
octowussySep 23, 2010
Why would they stop making parody movies when they make insane profits off of them?
ficklefidelitySep 23, 2010
I think you mean film industry not filmmakers.
masternSep 23, 2010
I don't have a problem with one or two. The movie posters aren't vague if they have an actor and a decent tagline. If we listened to this guy, every movie poster would look like Cannonball Run 2. And as for the director - yes, I want to know who directed a movie - it is a key factor in whether I see a movie. Put Tim Burton, Brad Bird or Hayao Miyazaki's names on a poster, I will immediately go see that movie - even if they've been inconsistent lately (I'm looking at you, Mr. "Frankenweenie Remake").
neotechniSep 23, 2010
Agreed, with all of it.
And add shaky-cam to the list
notcarbySep 23, 2010
Most directors get little attention as it is. I find the use of actors names everywhere more offensive.
heroleonSep 23, 2010
To hell with Hollywood films. Especially the lack of Asian American roles in movies.
Independent films break barriers from all of the above.
jonjonr6Sep 24, 2010
Hollywood's response: "What?! We cast that asian guy in 'Harold & Kumar'. What more do you want?!"
archercreditSep 23, 2010
Can't stand "scary movie" type movies, they have no original jokes and aren't funny unless you are 13.
Seriously, Paul Walker is not street don't try to make him that way, ha.
kalvinbSep 24, 2010
You do realize there is a constant stream of 13 year olds who haven't seen these movies, right?

Stop putting car chases for no reason, I think I've seen all the different ways a car can flip over or that cars can crash into one another when our hero runs a red light. Leave the car chases for Fast and The Furious 5
