Facebook was first, but it needs new players into the game to be able to feed. If people decide it is not worth paying then it will be discarded, so there is a fundamental limit to what they can charge.
So for Digg ... ??? Expect it to eat or be eaten by another. Facebook has the financial impetous to eat it all now until only it remains.

Who actually gets to write what! Facebook actually has a really clandestine purpose it identifies networks. Nice to know who knows who and all that.

Noticed this new get rich concept alot recently also - does this sound familiar.
You want a drive for you PC or some other hardware, the manufacture normally supplies for free. Go for the search engine to get to the information. Yep you get all those middle men all charging you, because they managed to download it from the place you are probably trying to get too.
No biggie you will pay, but oh no!
You have to create a profile and register all to get you on a list! After that your name actually holds a value, him with the biggest list wins if you get the point.
Another player in the game of the biggest list and user traffic.

Jim Wales was on The Daily Show last night and he made it very clear that they were all volunteers at the site and wanted it to remain open source. It is refreshing to see an organization sticking to its goals, and making a profit while doing so.
