Dugg for those brave architects

I'm amazed that we were ever able to produce the brilliant scientists who discovered the planets, devised the theory of evolution, discovered how to harness the power of the atom, and figured out how to get men to the moon and back without these types of schools. The horror that we have all gone through going to school and sitting in a classroom learning in an educational environment as harsh and unforgiving as that. I just am thankful that human society was able to squeak by for so long without this brilliance. Now that we have figured out that it is quirky architecture that helps kids learn and not a solid foundation in math and science taught by dedicated teachers, well, we will all be better off.

My schools never looked like these.

An interesting idea, but I don't know how viable it is. Schools here at least in the US are struggling just to keep the student to teacher ratio down and fund the arts, let alone modifying/rebuilding schools to be works of art themselves. Maybe if students were able to contribute more (building some of the furniture in shop class, painting murals for art, etc) it might get a little ways, but our psychotic adherence to overbearing "child labor" laws would stop that dead in its tracks.
