If they were lunatic (that particular way) it would have shown in the past. They are capable of destroying at least couple cities from any country if they try hard enough - any country that big and advanced is. Nuclear weapons do not give them much better chances of surviving that kind of strike though. You believe propaganda, I believe logic and history. Mullahs use strong words for their political purposes just like some US or Israel politics do. However, they have not ruled those countries for centuries just by being death-wishing lunatics.
