It looks like the GOP joined forces with the 'Rent's too High' guy from NY, Now 'There's Too many damn jobs', just like in Wi, " too many public unions"

Wait...are you really one of those worthless f**ks who thinks unions are a good thing? Really?
How does it feel knowing that no one wants you alive?
michaelccoleMar 3, 2011
You really do live up to your username.
Do you like having an 8 hr work day? How about a 40 work week? Do you like to make more than $2.00 for a days work? Do you like paid vactions?
Without the Union movement they never wold have happened.
Didn't your Mama Grizzly teach you how to disagree without being disagreeable?
You are nothing but a hate filled Tea Partier.
It would be an insult to moronic imbecils to call you one.

You debated that so well, I'm not anyone can recover. I'm in a fetal position, stunned by your brilliant comment -- all Dems have now surely been beaten.

Soooo... 700k govt. parasite jobs? Count us taxpayers in.
cold0008Mar 2, 2011
public employees don't pay taxes?
odkinMar 2, 2011
No, they are PAID in taxes. Anything they kick back just reduces the amount of drain they are.
timelessbwMar 2, 2011
Is that how your boss feels about you? Maybe you should work harder. I mean if he or she feels you are a drain on his/her profit margin.

They take taxes more than they pay.
ajajadudeMar 2, 2011
Kinda like all those Congress members? I say we slash their salaries down to what the average American makes. Not only would that save us money, but it might make those assclowns in DC actually work for the people.
Closed AccountMar 2, 2011
It's extremely expensive to live in DC. It requires funds to travel back and forth from home or to bring your family/spouse to see you.
I love to say, "Hell yeah! Make em pay!" But it's not that feasible.
ajajadudeMar 2, 2011
Why not? Build some cheap apartment-style dormitories and they can stay there.
On a more serious note, $174,000 a year for your average rep is not exactly a paycheck-to-paycheck situation for these people. I'm not going to shed any tears for the hardships of our elected sell outs.
There are plenty of people living in the DC area, and far more expensive parts of the country, who can't (or can barely) afford a house.
Closed AccountMar 2, 2011
In DC, it's not a fortune, either.
publiclurkerMar 2, 2011
Funny how you don't have any problem screwing over the people who actually work for a living though? I guess since you are incapable of pulling yourself out of the cesspool you've created for yourself, you just have to resort to pulling others down to your level.
drazen77Mar 2, 2011
Something tells me that the members of congress will be just fine even if they were to lose their pay by just a fraction...
http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-503544_162-5553408-503544.html
davidanyMar 2, 2011
Would be nice, but your forgetting about campaign contributions, you could cut congress' pay to zero and they would still be rich.
ajajadudeMar 2, 2011
I'd say that wouldn't be a bad thing, but then that would mean our elected officials would more inclined to go with things based on where the money came from.
timelessbwMar 2, 2011
Like that is not what is already what they do.
mbraynardMar 2, 2011
Uh.... they don't get to use campaign contributions to enrich themselves, especially the ones that live in competitive districts.
The few that do try some funny business usually get drummed out of office or sent to prison, like the Democrat VP nominee, John Edwards, is about to.
publiclurkerMar 2, 2011
Actually, I think they get to keep whatever is left over after they retire.

Yeah . . . great idea. Then we can run on a platform that Obama didn't create enough jobs! That's the ticket.
norman619Mar 2, 2011
Most of the jobs he "created" were government jobs. those aren't the kinds of jobs the average American or our economy needs.
publiclurkerMar 2, 2011
Really, please tell us why those jobs are less important than yours, which I'm sure is fairly useless since you claim to be able to do it.
mrteflonMar 2, 2011
I have a better Idea. Let the lowest paid Politician make exactly the same as the lowest paid teacher. And the highest paid the same as the highest paid teacher. And give them the same benefits as the general Public ergo Same retirement, Same Medical, Same Perks and I BET the whole thing would be fixed in 6 months.
Closed AccountMar 2, 2011
Is your politician going to get the time off that a teacher gets?
mrteflonMar 2, 2011
Heh are you kidding me? Look at days, 1/2 Days and general time off for ANY Politician bet its pretty dang close!
norman619Mar 2, 2011
Both politician and teacher are part time positions.
publiclurkerMar 2, 2011
Well, since teachers usually spend that time getting additional training, that would be a good thing. Perhaps you should try getting some training too. Don't they have any adult remedial classes where you are at?
Closed AccountMar 2, 2011
"teachers usually spend that time getting additional training"
Hey, I love you completely fabricate things and then tell others that they need remedial education.

dont get me wrong, i hate democrats too, but i find it laughable how republicans are saying if we raise interest rates and cut government spending, jobs will just start flying in from heaven. well not heaven, republicans dont worship god or the holy ghost, like many lefties seem to think, they worship at the alter of the invisible hand.Comment is buried, click here to see the rest.

They worship Money as their God.
davidanyMar 2, 2011
i think auto was referring to the invisible hand of the market, so ya same difference
autokadMar 2, 2011
not really the same thing, theres a subtle but important difference. to say they worship money seems like im saying they are simply greedy. im saying they believe in the invisible hand of the market with blind faith, no amount of conflicting evidence can change their mind otherwise. furthermore, any conflicting evidence is considered blasphemy.
skywiseMar 2, 2011
The GOP is just reducing the size of government that Bush increased by nearly 2 million jobs-
http://www.nationalreview.com/corner/249516/job-creation-bush-vs-obama-veronique-de-rugy
"Under Bush, private employment shrank by 673,000 jobs, federal employment grew by 50,000 jobs, and government employment grew by 1,753,000 jobs."
ect5150Mar 2, 2011
Except the problem with this kind of analysis is the last few years of the Bush administration the economy was in a recession cause by the banks. If you're going to skew the argument saying it was Bush's fault - and ALL his own - then it's Obama's fault things haven't returned. Both arguments are nonsense.
Closed AccountMar 2, 2011
yeah...sure they would.
elartista410Mar 2, 2011
wow. A 15Trillion dollar+ debt and they still think budget cuts work huh? SMH! The answer is not cut and raise prices, the answer is simple "Free up $$$$" for the average American family. You do that by Stopping TAXES for 7yrs or more or free up $$$$ some kinda way.Comment is buried, click here to see the rest.
jdenzerMar 2, 2011
So the GOP's plan is to cut 700,000 slow economic growth in order to raise the unemployment rate. That way they can blame Obama for the high unemployment and slow growth. And win the Presidency in 2012.
veganpaMar 2, 2011
But it might only be half a million!
Anything to hurt Obama...
mrbentoMar 2, 2011
I think what everyone is forgetting is the fact the private sector isn't creating jobs. So if the government is spending money I have yet to see proof that it is crowding out private investment. If we are looking for real growth it will require real spending.
GDP is a very simple formula, Consumption + investment + government investment less the trade deficit. If anyone can tell me that private companies are rehiring at the same level they were post 2009 I would like to hear it.

Either way, I don't have a problem with it.
sharpestoolMar 2, 2011
If there is any science to these projections than Imperial Walker has sent Wisconsin back to the middle ages with the budget that was proposed today. The cuts are so deep that it can only be a vendetta against the next generation and the women that are disproportionally effected. I think we are being taken over by the Christian Taliban. The democrats need to stay away until he can be removed.
mbraynardMar 2, 2011
IF you have a problem with the GOP cutting government spending and the resulting loss of government jobs, then you must think the reasonable solution for the the unemployment problem is for the government to create make-work jobs with borrowed money for everyone who is unemployed.
This has worked so well for Greece and Spain. Why not us?Comment is buried, click here to see the rest.

Goldman Sachs is to Obama what Enron was to Bush x's 7!
As Obama's 2nd biggest donor after Univ. of Cali, in 2008, they got bailed out while Lehman Brothers was left out -- to dry. And when the bailout made AIG whole, it also defacto gave GS a hundred cents on the dollar, which is far better than the s**t hole they would have been left to wallow in of their own high risk creating no less ... http://www.huffingtonpost.com/bob-ostertag/goldman-sachs-obama-money_b_177611.html
Furthermore, GS and Zandi were both big supporters of Stimulus and repeated the broken promises that more jobs and prosperity would accompany this monumental and unprecedented liberal wish list spending spree, I mean Bill...
"Mark Zandi, an economist from Moodys.com ... said last week that the country will have 4 million more jobs by the end of 2010 if the plan is approved, 143,000 of them in Georgia." ... http://www.ajc.com/services/content/printedition/2009/01/25/stimulus0125.html
The Stimulus failed miserably no less, but GS didn't, raking in astronomical profits after being bailed out directly and indirectly ...

Goldman's Sudden Boom Could Be a Bust for Obama
Then in miraculous convenience, their 'profitable betting against their clients' scandal is unearthed in perfect concert with Obama's grand plan to usher in Financial Reform, which we all know, albeit the bleeding heart progressives, is a crock of s**t whose euphemistic sounding regulations is nothing but a sucker punch for those willing to believe more federal regulation is the still the answer and the solution...
http://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2010/04/is_the_goldmansachs_scandal_ma.html Is the Goldman-Sachs scandal manufactured?
And whadyaknow, today there's fresh news and meat about the GS scandal and the prosecution of and deal making with a cooperative Raj. Is it any surprise it comes on the heels of a report issued by Goldman Sachs (GS) that was sure to make BHO and the WH very pleased? In the end, he'll get a slap on the wrist like Rattner the Wall Street wiz turned Car Czar turned author who admitted no guilt in his final deal with the Justice system and in five years gets to play ball again. Wow, what justice! What a deterrent! http://www.nydailynews.com/money/2011/03/02/2011-03-02_former_goldman_sachs_director_charge_with_insider_trading.html
And while all this plays out, let's not forget all the GS peeps who have gone on to key positions within the Obama Administration ...

Now onto the good news ...
Top Economist Debunks Goldman Sachs & Zandi Reports, Says GOP Cuts Will Boost Jobs ... http://www.theminorityreportblog.com/2011/02/28/top-economist-debunks-goldman-sachs-zandi-reports-says-gop-cuts-will-boost-jobs/
fta -- "Goldman and Zandi claim spending cuts – as included in the House-passed H.R. 1 – will reduce economic growth. John Taylor says “[n]othing could be more contrary to basic economics, experience and facts.” As Taylor argues, analysis used by Goldman Zachs, Mark Zandi, and partisan Democrats “was wrong in the past and it is highly likely to be wrong again”:
“The analysis in this Goldman-Sachs report is based on the same type of ‘large multiplier’ theory that predicted that the stimulus package of 2009 would stimulate economic growth.
Moreover, by following the stimulus money, we found that in actuality the stimulus package of 2009 had no material positive effect on economic growth or employment. The same economic theory which said the stimulus would increase economic growth in the past two years, says that reversing that spending will reduce growth now. It was wrong in the past and it is highly likely to be wrong again.”
Read Taylor’s full post here. Taylor was also among the group of 150 economists who signed a statement arguing for immediate action “to begin to slow government spending, reduce uncertainty and support the creation of new private-sector jobs.” You can read their statement here.
Goldman Sachs and Mark Zandi are principal defenders of the president’s “stimulus” fiasco and were often cited as sources who claimed the spending bill would work. Both are referenced on page 21 of this White House report
