Next time make it a smaller size. Even the small version was too easy to read.

It took me about 10 minutes to download that massive JPEG. It must've been at least 150kb!

Is your internet connection two steel cans with a string between them?
I've noticed that text has been getting smaller in places elsewhere on the internet as well - especially for things that look graphically pretty or fancy. I suspect they are made with iPhones and iPads users mind, rather than people with high-res monitors maxed-out. I guess that's the future of computing, is it?
Fortunately, Firefox has zoom....

Sarcasm. It escapes you.

You subtle brand of humour goes over my head. Woe is me.

I know you think you're really smart, but there's a half-trillion dollar industry who laughs every time someone says "advertising has no effect on ME!"
Psychology works.

As well as colour affecting our buying habits, I am also doing some resecrh on different colours of 'buy buttons' that are used on websites, as well as the text that is used. Interesting!

Are you University funded? I would be interested in the results of this research - I am currently in a school marketing class.
geminineilDec 14, 2010
Hi.. I run a website and am doing research for my own business but would be happy to share findings.

I'm in the Internet marketing industry and I'll tell you that an orange "add to cart" button is absolutely the best converting choice. And I have the independent split tests to prove it.

what about "Boy Now" or "Book Now" or "Book Here"

Such a subtle way of encouraging people to do what you want. I say encouraging, but I wonder if it isn't more a touch of manipulating? Guess it only works if people are willing to be manipulated.
sniperhareDec 13, 2010
I wonder if those who are color blind make different purchases because of their impairment?
The few I've known just had to make sure their spouse dressed them, or they marked the clothes tags with symbols so they knew what color it was.
chrisawesomeDec 14, 2010
As someone who is color deficient (mostly in greens), I was wondering that myself. I do tend to base a lot of purchases on smell, but that's mostly for shampoo, deodorant, food, etc.

Label of products can indeed attract consumers especially with proper promotion.
whiteshoulderDec 29, 2010
This is very interesting. Love the detailed visual of how retailers break things down to the consumers to reel them into purchasing more.
certaprohocomdFeb 23, 2012
True enough. Great details and the the infographic is nicely made with loads of interesting information that most of us didn't know.
