I like my hamburgers to taste like SIRLOIN - warm, red in the center, and moist. Although I do enjoy biting down on a piece of meat, there is nothing worse than biting down on a dry piece of meat.

Preach it, brother.
Though to be honest, there're very few places I'd trust to deliver a medium rare burger that isn't chock full of parasites. But if you can locate such a place, the majesty and glory is simply incomprehensible.

One of the happiest days in my burger eating life was when someone put bleu cheese on my burger. Absolute heaven.
Dammit! Now I'm hungry.
biofriendlyblogOct 13, 2010
Thanks a lot...now I want a burger with blue cheese!

I go to a place here in NY & they have the most delicious burgers I've had yet. That said, I can not read this article because I am loyal to hamburgers.
tyg10Oct 12, 2010
Oh sure you can read it. This is the last line... "In other words: the hamburger economy. Bon Appetit!"
Now I'm hungry, too. Thanks, shenerd for nothing. ;)

Glad to help, tyg10. :-)

According the article fight against obesity can harm to USA economics
goatmonkey2112Oct 13, 2010
So what we need to do is eat lots of hamburgers and just workout a lot later. It's the patriotic thing to do.

Am I the only one that noticed? The lettuce is marked as onions?
This infograph not only has mistakes in it but on top of it all just outright condemns Americans on hamburgers. What about pizza? I would love for the creator to grab almost any 'fresh-off-the-boat' person in America, hand them a hamburger, and get their response. He/She will not report the result this person had in mind!
Is this some anti-something campaign?
Why don't we get some true numbers across the board. You know, level the playing fields a bit. If you were to cut the numbers down between nations (population density as a ratio of 1 between countries to food), how many tortillas do Mexicans eat compared to buns? How many sausages do Romans eat compared to beef? On and On and On and On.
If you are not going to show world numbers from different countries, your infograh is a MAJOR FAIL! Your political ploy is a POS, and we will still eat our f**kING COW! So STFU Dumbass!
I'll take my burger now please!
th4k1ddOct 13, 2010
Oops...that was Romanians. Sorry!
Oh, If I could have un-digged/un-dugged/undig/whatever this BS...I would have.

Yeah dude, no kidding. Very rough math ensues:
According to the graph:
Tomatoes= 4 cents a pound
Beef=8 cents a pound
Onions=11 cents a pound.
Lettuce (or onions part2)=24 cents a pound
But look how professional the infograph almost looks! It MUST be true!

Where is the bacon?

If anyone thinks that the estimate for beef cost is accurate you don't know what a government subsidy is.
They may be basing it on cost at, say, a grocery store. However, the beef industry is subsidized to the max and a large part of your personal taxes are earmarked for it. I'm not saying stop eating meat, I'm just saying this infographic is inaccurate and misleading. Which may be on purpose as all of the cost sources are U.S. gov sites. Weight the costs of each item by personal tax input via subsidies then see where you are.
False information and pretty pictures keeps the masses in line.

Wow, they claim 71 pounds of ketchup per person per year. That's about 1 pound every 5 days. This claims the average person consumes 16 ounces of ketchup every 5 days. That's 10 ketchup packets every day. It's an average, so many people are consuming more. I'm too lazy to check their sources but i still have to call bulls**t
equifaxpfblogOct 14, 2010
The best part about hamburgers is that they can be expensive and fancy or down-to-earth, ketchup-drowned hunks of cheap meat, depending on your mood.
Also, does everyone have the song "Cheeseburger in Paradise" in their head after reading that?
