A quick summary of the 'victim':
The victim claimed she was persecuted and harassed by the regime in Guinea. > Lie.
Truth: She worked with a guy to create and memorize a story to dramatize her situation.
The victim claims she was gang raped in her native country. > Lie.
Truth: She lied to improve her chances of gaining asylum.
The victim claims she was so terrified after she was sexually assaulted by Mr. Strauss-Kahn that she hid until the guy left the hotel and immediately told her supervisor what happened. > Lie.
Truth: After the alleged assault, she continued to clean suites, then went back to the very Suite she was allegedly assaulted in to clean that one too.
The victim claimed she had two children on her tax return. > Lie.
Truth: She has one child. The other was a friend's child.
The victim gave detailed information on her history, background, personal relationships, etc to the jury as part of the trial. > Lie.
Truth: She was untruthful on a variety of topics given during her testimony.

Additional details:
Law enforcement: The day after the alleged rape, the maid phoned an Arizona jail. The conversation included the statement: "Don't worry, this guy has a lot of money. I know what I'm doing."
Unconfirmed: Tens of thousands of dollars have been wired into the maid's bank account over the last two years.

Does anyone here think we should maybe stop making spot determinations on this man's guilt or innocence until he has been tried and ALL of the information comes out? I mean, when he was accused it was "He's a rapist, KILL HIM!" and now it is "The accuser is a liar, FREE HIM!" and in reality we have no way of knowing which is true since we haven't seen most (if any) of the real evidence involved his case?
I am not saying I haven't done it myself (I admit I am guilty to both) but maybe it is time for us all to stop and wait for the information before coming to any conclusions?

I'm pretty sure this was all organized to eliminate him as a presidential candidate in France or there was some important motion in IMF which DSK was not agreeing with and now with Lagarde it can be passed. Also IMF was not very happy with Obama circle printing money and diluting the currency.

I think you meant that the other way around.
Anyways, I think in many places there are laws in place to protect the identities of victims of sexual assault. That would be my guess here.

No, I did not. We know the victim's name, it is Dominique Strauss-Kahn. His name was revealed immediately, even though rape is a very serious accusation, especially when you didn't do it, and it can ruin your life. The perpetrator of the false accusation, we still don't know her name.

Okay, but in terms of the person actually being charged with a crime, that is Strauss-Kahn, so he is the perpetrator.
If this were a case of filing a false police report, then the maid would be the perpetrator, but it's not.

If you have had a chance to read up on French politics in the past you would know that the extramarital affairs of Strauss-Kahn is just one small part of his problems. He has a long history of accusation of harassment.
This is why he was forced to get out of French politics and moved on to
the EU instead which lead him to the IMF post.

Fact is, I think it's well known that he's got an open relationship or knowledge of his actions from before this.
Meaning he either tells his wife about the affairs or doesn't but either way he's got her blessing. Maybe she's going and getting a little on the side as well... he's not the most handsome guy around.
