First SOPA, PIPA, then big daddy ACTA. And Lamar Smith is trying to sneak another one through. They act like the Global protests are because they can't pirate music for free.
The E.U. is defending it's sovereignty against U.S. incursion. Fair enough, but let's not mistake that for actually supporting internet freedom. You need only look at France to dispel that idea.

you have to ask yourself, what is Sony in the rest of the corporations that own the Internet going to do when they lose even more money to the fact that the economy is not producing people who uses their products? They are now trying to squeeze the Internet because people are stealing their overpriced product, will they try to pass laws in local government allowing the cop to daily Monitor your Internet habits?
we the people need to let these corporations know that we do not need their products. Sony is so vast and makes so much money that its beyond your imagination.

Bulls**t. They are playing you.. still.
"This debate must be based upon facts, and not upon the misinformation and rumour that has dominated social media sites and blogs in recent weeks."
You mean the facts no one knows about because everything is being done behind closed doors and there is, virtually, little to no news reporting on it?
f**k you. I don't believe or trust ANYTHING you say until you give me a reason to.

Why does the Digg banner say "EU suspends ratification of ACTA" when nowhere in this article do the words "EU suspends ratification" appear?

The more comments I read the more I'm convinced that less then half of you actually read the article.

Obama signed ACTA in secret. We had a major public outcry about SOPA and PIPA.

Stay attentive and alert everybody. There's a lot of misinformation coming from both sides.
