*Wrong." I sent a request for the title to be edited. My apologies.

That's like inviting a vampire into your home.

Big deal - what if AlQaeda issues a statement of support for the protests? Does that mean all the protesters are AlQaeda? Ridiculous.
The consensus seems to lean towards a National Unity Govt, and that means that all parties would be part of it - including the Muslim Brotherhood. It's no use to claim that the small fraction represented by religious zealots makes everyone a fanatic. That's just fear-mongering, which is itself a frequently-used tactic by the regime to tar its opponents, by claiming everyone is a religious nut.

Right, You can't stop any person or group from voicing their support for or against something, especially in a free society. I really have no idea what point this article was trying to make.
agmlauncherJan 31, 2011
Nevertheless, it makes you more closely analyze him. It could be one of two things:
1. He has a hidden agenda that the Brotherhood knows will favor them.
2. The Brotherhood is using it's own nature to make him look guilty by association (hence, our suspicion of point #1).
It doesn't automatically mean he's a supporter of the group, but in a region with such a pervasive and influential religion, it's not something we should ignore.

Whenever someone agrees with the nazis/kkk its generally a tipoff that I need to reconsider. Alquada is just as evil.

And another country breaks the shackles of Western oppression.
Who really is in charge of some of these countries anyways? The people or a puppet government, controlled by......Comment is buried, click here to see the rest.

Please explain. I wasn't aware Egypt was under any form of Western assault or occupation.

Well ignorant child...You see the U.S. provides Egypt's Police State Gov't $1.5 Billion every year in Military Aid, thereby keeping the Brutal Dictatorship in Power....Comment is buried, click here to see the rest.

Just as a side note, you could answer without being a self important dick.
And by military aid, do you mean actual forces or simple finance?
murxJan 31, 2011
Just another self important dick here:
How about you f**king google that?
Then you can get respectable sources like this:
http://www.reuters.com/article/2011/01/29/us-egypt-usa-aid-idUSTRE70S0IN20110129
And does it really matter if it is military aid in the form of equipment - or the money with no strings attached to buy such equipment (or the receiver outright tells you he's going to buy military equipment).Comment is buried, click here to see the rest.

So any country that gives another country money is oppressing them? Right.
murxJan 31, 2011
Yes, any country who gives another country money KNOWING they will go and use it to enhance their dictatorship and grip of power oppresses.
That's why smart people and smart governments tend to make SURE the given resources are used in an intended way.
And boy did the USA make sure the money would be used in an intended way - by making sure they didn't just buy ANY military stuff - but by buying USAmerican stuff!

with the probable take over of Egypt by radical Muslims and the deafening silence of the White House, President Obama has sealed his place as being even worse than Jimmy Carter ( at least Jimmy Carter did not actually know just how bad a mistake he made until later) but our current President has history to show him and still he does nothingComment is buried, click here to see the rest.

Everything could go wrong. The only way this could turn out is the people of Egypt regretting the over-throw of the current dictator when they see how bad it is under the new one, the Muslim brotherhood.
If the Muslim brotherhood gains any real voice, it will be absolute tragedy
schwitJan 31, 2011
The Muslim Brotherhood's motto is "Allah is our objective. The Prophet is our leader. The Qur'an is our law. Jihad is our way. Dying in the way of Allah is our highest hope."
To them democracy and Islam can not coexist.

Politics has no place in liberty, so touché. :)

This runs counter to just about everything I've read on the situation: 1) the Muslim Brotherhood is not very "radical". 2) They weren't involved in the beginning of the protests 3) they swore off using any violent means years ago 4) the Iran comparison is totally off - Iran's clergy was at the forefront of the Iranian revolution - without them Iran would still be under the them of a U.S. puppet. I usually like your stuff, but this one is just very reactionary and ill-informed I'm afraid.
