There are no cons to groupon. When you get a buy one-get one free 60 minute massage, and then a $50 gift card to a fancy restaurant for $25, there are no cons.

Some businesses don't take it very seriously. I bought a $99 Groupon for a $150 spa. When I got there, they said they can't offer the service anymore, but can get me $50 off any other service. So I basically spent $99 to get $50 off something I didn't even want.

I will never, ever use Groupon for the simple fact that i can't stand the commercial they play on Slacker.com ALL the time. That dudes voice is the most annoying commercial voice i've ever heard.

I think that Weforia.com seems to have some better deals, but it's only available in Boston, Phoenix and Ft Myers. Restaurant.com is another good one if you like to go out to eat.

Woot is awesome. Yes their main site is one offer a day. Their wootoffs are amazing though and you can get some serious bargains. Deals.woot is user submitted awesome finds from all over. there are multiple woot sites that can find you many bargains each day.

I just started with Groupon. Got half off shave and a haircut. I think it is best for introducing you to new things you wouldn't normally do.

Wondering if a tech publisher would adopt a daily deal model. What would be offered? Tech products, educational services, workspace memberships for virtual workers? Perhaps that's too niche? Interested in everyone's thoughts.
