I stumbled on to this but I haven't tried it. Posted by ginastera. Anyone know if this works?"In IE, you can bypass the Windows Genuine Advantage check by going into Tools --> Internet Options --> Programs Tab --> Manage Add-ons --> Disable Windows Genuine Advantage. No crack needed!!"----Only works with SP2, for pre-SP2 just run this in the address bar "javascript:void(window.g_sDisableWGACheck='all')" at the screen where you select Express or custom. I have to do this for one of my computers. Idiot me buys XP Pro legally. I wipe the drive and re-install from time to time. Last month was my 4th or 5th time in the last year, refused to activate me. Said to call MS and they'd help me. I wasn't wasting my time on the phone with those idiots, I just bypass the WGA and cracked the activation. DRM - only hinders legitimate users.
I'm confused as to what you guys are talking about not having rdp... I d/l'ed mstsc a while ago off of ms's site and installed and ran with no problem. (I have home edition)
this is similar to what they will be doing with Vista. ALL Vista DVD's will include ALL Vista Build feature/options, but will only enable certain features based on your serial code, etc.
"I've seen confused people claim that XP Pro is more stable and faster just because it has pro in the name. "I know- Doesnt it make you want to beat them with an ugly stick!
Well, XP Home makes Windows XP lack features from Windows 2000. That makes Windows XP an operating system which less funcionality, which MAKES people use Windows 98, which has more features than Windows XP.

Wow people are so gullible! How can they defend such a worthless operating system? Windows XP Home Edition is horrible, compared to Windows ME, which can log into a domain and can run legacy applications. Windows XP Home Edition do that, its stripped down.
Also, XP Pro IS more stable and faster, and has security. XP Home isn't designed to even be on a network. People are so Microsoft-Brainwashed, they actually think the 9x kernel and MS-DOS is for Home Users and the Wannabe UNIX kernal 'Windows NT' is for the Pros. This is not true at all, because Pros actually used Windows for workgroups 3.11.
Anyways I am getting off track here. The reason Home is a horrible OS is because it has features taken out from Windows 95, while its on the NT Kernel. Therefore, Windows XP Home is the WORST Operating system MS has EVER released, and NO one should be using that operating system.
