while i am unfamiliar with H&R block's home software, i would advise against actually hiring them to do your taxes. they will not be able to find you the best tax refund among the alternatives

I have used H&R block for the entire 14 years I have worked and love the changes to their site. I'm not happy that to recall last years info I have to pay $20, so I just spend the additional 10 minutes typing (I use free file). I have always gotten my refund within 7 days from both state and federal, unlike my first 2 years when I sent paperwork, which took almost a month. Though I have to be honest that I have never even looked at alternatives, but to e-file both for about $25, that's not too bad.
