I own a 02 Jetta with the previous generation 1.9 TDI. It's no sports car, but it certainly has plenty of power. It does just fine making quick merges into rush hour traffic.
Diesel engines are no longer 70s Oldsmobile clunkers, the rest of the world has figured that out.

I think if they did something with the head lights it would make a huge difference, but its not a car I wouldn't drive as a man

Oh ya I agree, the rear end is pretty sweet looking now. I dig it. However the front end, especially those LED's or whatever around the upper half of the headlight, reminds me of eyelashes and looks very feminine.

maybe if you could someone change the color of the bulb or the parts of the reflector you could make it look cooler like angry eyes or something

That would be hilarious seeing a beetle driving down the road with the led's lighting up dark red. Demon eyes!
