- wafflesomd, on 10/10/2007, -2/+8A very good site. Music is quality as well.
- d03boy, on 10/10/2007, -3/+8Just shut up and Bury it..
- elperroloco, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5Is it even possible to "taint" Digg?
- shunter99, on 10/10/2007, -2/+6I went to sign up for Beta and their terms say that you license your music FOREVER. They provide no way to stop allowing them to license your music. ***** that.

Hmmm... Under entertainment... A way to get music without making "the music industry" rich...
How exactly is this not Digg worthy? - WileEPeyote, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Wow, all the negative comments. Considering all the whining on Digg about no alternatives to "the Maintream Music Industry" I would think something like this would be embraced by the average Digg user...
- shep72685, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4You just did.
- fkr3, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3He wishes he thought of a way musicians could license their music? This site isn't actually doing anything new it's just doing it online.
- TheFr00n, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4Meaning, you wish you'd thought of this?
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3They don't own your song, you license it yourself through the site (hence the "non-exclusive" thing on the front page). It's like eBay, they just provide the platform. Moreso, you can always delete any song on the system..I don't understand where you people got all of this paranoid nonsense.
- coldskool, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1lol... nevermind
- TheFr00n, on 10/10/2007, -3/+4If that's the case, then I'd recommend that artists do not use this service. Most reputable online music stores allow non-exclusive licenses.
In my opinion, assigning a license in perpetuity breeds laziness in your publisher. There is simply no motivation for them to do any work to earn money off your material. You see, actual publishing is a mug's game - anyone can do it. But getting the published material in front of big players that may use it, well, that's hard work. Why would I assign the exclusive right to exploit my work to someone who just intends to sit back and do nothing, and then jump up and down and claim buckets of cash if I suddenly make it big on my own?
Buried. - coldskool, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2Too bad you can't minimize the window or switch tabs while you're listening to a song without it stopping : /
- spyrochaete, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1What story? It links to the site itself.
- michaelGregoire, on 10/10/2007, -2/+3Two words: CREATIVE COMMONS. Don't trust any corporate crooks to your creativity.
- danareich, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Great site!
- fuzzmeister, on 10/10/2007, -2/+2Because very few people buried it.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -3/+3I love this site. However the search feature was not working for me. But I will definitely be using this site.
- codeblue87, on 10/10/2007, -3/+3I don't think this is digg-worthy. This site is nothing exceptional and the story's more of an advertisement than anything else.
- vobbsik, on 11/13/2007, -0/+0spammers activity =)
- salvage, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0great stuff!!!
- irra, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0Uh good to know
- krinthekuz, on 09/16/2008, -2/+1something tells me this will come to some sort of unlicensed practice of law investigation
- monroetransfer, on 10/10/2007, -2/+0You mean now there will be more restrictive license-holders and copyright barons than ever? JUST WHAT WE NEED!!!
- MisterZero, on 10/10/2007, -3/+1Stupid site that doesn't have anything to offer. Bombs in 3 months.
- f8tbrautmehere, on 10/10/2007, -4/+1Go make a record or something.
- Crazymaniacc, on 10/10/2007, -6/+3Buried for being spam
- f8tbrautmehere, on 10/10/2007, -7/+1Manipulated? Yes. If it interests Kevin, it hits the front page based on an algorithm. Sounds fair to me. Don't like it? Take your business elsewhere.
- ianhgibson, on 10/10/2007, -12/+5Pathetic self promotion under the guise of breaking news. Ridiculous. I own a music publishing business as well but would never taint Digg with an infomercial!
- p0tent1al, on 10/10/2007, -11/+4How can this only have like 50 diggs and reach the front page (when everything else on the page has 200+)?
Furthermore, 50 diggs and not 1 comment? Everyday that passes I think that Digg is starting to be manipulated behind the scenes.
