- borez, on 07/15/2009, -3/+114Are you actually ***** kidding me?
Note to Warner music: You, my friends, are actually beyond pathetic... and then some. - gdagreat, on 07/15/2009, -1/+88the labels just dont get it.
someone could have viewed that vid. and loved that song they might have never heard before, may begin to look for it since its stuck in their head...find out what song it is and purchase it from itunes or some other retailer. profit for the label but now that song wont get anymore exposure thru that vid. - JustJoe4Life, on 07/15/2009, -2/+85Here comes the Streisand effect, if you strike Keyboard Cat down, he shall become more powerful than you could possibly imagine.
- CoD4, on 07/15/2009, -1/+78Play warner off, keyboard cat!

- EmiliaGarcia, on 07/15/2009, -3/+55That video was ***** rad as hell.
Goddamn you Warner Music Group for ruining everything. - LeftsideChaos, on 07/15/2009, -0/+51Taking away music is one thing, but taking away a meme just starts a riot.
- MatlasK, on 07/15/2009, -1/+49I guess it was interfering with Hall and Oates' album sales.
- papashawn, on 07/15/2009, -1/+28What're they gonna do next, mute the Rick Rolls?
- RudeTurnip, on 07/15/2009, -0/+27It's easier than that...Youtube already provides links to purchase songs from Amazon or iTunes as in-video ads. I've purchased music directly through those links as a result of watching some amateur videos that featured some songs.
- thephosphorbox, on 07/15/2009, -0/+25I can't understand what revenue they think they're losing out on by letting that video remain on YouTube. If anything, that video probably made a few people actually buy that track off of iTunes (or wherever). It's free friggin advertising that people seek out and watch of their own accord.. and it costs Warner NOTHING LOL
- RealmDown, on 07/15/2009, -2/+26No, it's cat-astrophic.
- Rotzooi, on 07/15/2009, -6/+28wtf is up with the digg.com obfuscated URLs showing up again all of a sudden? I hate datamining.
- braavosi, on 07/15/2009, -0/+21someone needs to get keyboard cat to play these Media Mogals off and replace them with people who actually give a ***** and understand the internet.
- goldfenix, on 07/15/2009, -0/+18I run a site that catelogs Rock Band tracks so people can see songs before they play them, so I could complain all day about Warner Music. But let me put it simply: At any given time, probably about 20% of the videos are broken due to Warner constantly shutting down Youtube videos.
Seriously, those guys are the biggest ***** in the universe. It's free publicity!! Why would you shut that down? - lnxfi, on 07/15/2009, -1/+19Warner Music Group
- Xplorer, on 07/15/2009, -0/+16Noting can interfere with nothing....
- borez, on 07/15/2009, -0/+16Well because introducing a Hall and Oats track to thousands who have never even heard of this band is a ridiculously stupid idea.
/s - Blablah01, on 07/15/2009, -1/+16That ***** has to stop. I had an innocent, private (i emphasize: PRIVATE. Only me, myself and i could see it) video of my late cat when she was little, playing with a string. I put some music on for ***** 'n' giggles and when i check back a couple months after WMG had interfered.
***** WMG. - CATSCEO2, on 07/15/2009, -0/+15I bought the song due to that video. I guess WB doesn't want to make money...
- RatatRatR, on 07/15/2009, -2/+15That'd be *****' sweet.
- pathouston22, on 07/15/2009, -3/+16http://www.funnyordie.com/videos/b5e66d4b58/play-h ...
The video. - numbnick, on 07/15/2009, -0/+13But the video WITHOUT keyboard cat is OK to have on Youtube?

//Where's my bonus bitches - TheShad0w, on 07/15/2009, -0/+12I love how they think deleting it from YouTube will make it go away.
- Rotzooi, on 07/15/2009, -1/+13Then I was able to switch it off, and it stayed switched off until a day ago.
Not anymore. - AmnesiacJack, on 07/15/2009, -0/+12The Old Guard keeps digging their own grave, it's ***** beautiful.
- CATSCEO2, on 07/15/2009, -0/+11Exactly. I bought that song after I saw that video, its a great song.
Too bad the labels don't want me to discover more music and buy it from them, maybe I should go look on bittorrent for songs I might be interested in... - FrameWraith, on 07/15/2009, -0/+8Same exact reason here. I haven't purchased any media outside of blank CDs and DVDs in years and will continue to do so. Even if the whiney ***** figure a way to evolve without ripping off everyone around them, which they wont, I will never buy anything from any of them. The best part of any day is a day you teach someone what to do with torrents. Watching those greedy ***** throw temper tantrums is sweet justice because everyone knows they're dying a slow painful death. Newspapers are next and then television. Enjoy evolution *****. We do.
- Kaiosama, on 07/15/2009, -0/+8This is why I don't pay for music.
***** those greedy bastards. - rodon, on 07/15/2009, -0/+7"Private eyes *clap* are watching you *clap* *clap* watching your every move"
- TheMachine1, on 07/15/2009, -3/+10"Of course you know, this means war!"
- DeadPlasmaCell, on 07/15/2009, -0/+7I've dugg you down because I don't agree with your statement.
- MaryCait, on 07/15/2009, -0/+7Somehow I'm getting really sad that it had to be Hall & Oates. I feel like their coolness is now sullied.
- 10lbhammer, on 07/15/2009, -0/+7your powers of deduction are unmatched...
- sfrench, on 07/15/2009, -2/+9It's a bug. We are working on it.
Until we get a fix pushed, the shorturls should continue to 301 to the destination, so you won't be getting a diggbar unless you have it enabled in your user preferences. - landosystem, on 07/15/2009, -2/+8What ever made you think Warner Music did get the joke? This comes as no surprise to anyone with half a brain. The music industry is doing everything in their power to kill themselves off. Support local bands, buy their CDs from the bands themselves, don't shop for music at Walmart, stop going to Coldplay shows, don't buy the lies they sell you, don't believe the hype.
- feignNU, on 07/15/2009, -0/+6***** THING SUCKS!
- Rhendal, on 07/15/2009, -2/+8Warner Music Group are a bunch of pussies.
- Sloi, on 07/15/2009, -0/+6So, will we see a keyboard cat video playing off keyboard cat?
O_o; - WoWii, on 07/15/2009, -0/+6Its still all over youtube....
- Vektuz, on 07/15/2009, -0/+6Wow. Its like they're actively looking for opportunities to piss people off with them for absolutely no financial gain whatsoever.
Like someones job is to find ways to make people angry at them and pay money for doing so. - veriix, on 07/15/2009, -1/+6Here's a petition to stop rick rolling youtube videos: http://tinyurl.com/stopricknow
- karmakanic, on 07/15/2009, -0/+5@ Warner Music Group: How much revenue did you gain by having the video up there? How much revenue did it cost you? Please explain.
- NotSarcasm, on 07/15/2009, -0/+5Wait a minute.. When was this video released? 1970? 80? What's it matter... how long do they own a copyright for now before it goes into public domain? 120 YEARS? What the hell is the reasoning behind someone being able to make money off an idea or song and owning it for a so long? Why not just make it a billion years? ***** you, Sonny Bono, that lazy *****. What possible positive outcome does that have for society? I think 7 years is plenty to sit on your laurels/one hit wonder before you have to go make more contributions to society.
- stobb3s, on 07/15/2009, -0/+5Warner Music group is a bunch of selfish, greedy bitches
- Takfam, on 07/15/2009, -1/+6Headline is horribly misleading. It makes it sound like Warner got rid of the original keyboard cat vid instead of just one video that's mirrored on funnyordie.com anyway. Just saying.
- damian001, on 07/15/2009, -0/+5Eh, there's always GTA Vice City if you want great 80's music. It's where I found out about Hall & Oates on good ol' Flash FM.
