- Jay Z, 2009 - LackyB, on 10/19/2009, -0/+69I love this old school hip hop when it wasn't about glorifying every negative stereotype about black people. True hip hop like this is an art and impressive to witness. It's about the words and the cadence more than the stupid dance routines and hooks that get you played in bars everywhere. There are guys still doing this kind of stuff, but you're not going to see much of it on tv or hear much on the radio.
- ericcc, on 10/18/2009, -1/+56I heard he has to stay above 50wpm at all times or else the bus will explode. Wait.... what were we talking about again?
- ehaugan, on 10/19/2009, -0/+47When this video came out Beyonce was only 8 years old.
- brownsound00, on 10/19/2009, -3/+44This is infinitely better than the auto tune ***** from these days.

- DoctorPeptalk, on 10/19/2009, -0/+161990 was almost 20 years ago =/ i feel old
- borez, on 10/19/2009, -5/+20Not really.
- SanDiablo78, on 10/19/2009, -6/+21He was talented back then. He took it to a new level by the time he was an adult.
- jake8689, on 10/19/2009, -0/+14amazing how much production values have increased since then.
- GregFD3S, on 10/19/2009, -1/+12Dugg for old school rap.
Back when it was the bomb, yo! - Christbait, on 10/19/2009, -0/+9hey! get your ass behind the yellow line!
- pingpants, on 10/18/2009, -1/+10There's enough C-4 on this thing to put a hole in the world!
- CanadaMan87, on 10/19/2009, -0/+7No, sorry. We're all out of what whats.
- macmcraeart, on 10/19/2009, -0/+7imagine how your mom must feel.
- RocketGib, on 10/19/2009, -0/+7Dugg for background in 00:41... Wordperfect 1.0?
- jrburkh, on 10/19/2009, -0/+7He definitely said, "amirite?"
- smacksaw, on 10/19/2009, -2/+8If Jay-Z still made music like that, I'd buy it. I miss the whole "back to Africa" and New Jack Swing from that era. Anything went, people were sampling whatever they could find and it was was all over the place.
Now it's just boring. Rap isn't dead, but most of the good rap is. - bodegit, on 10/19/2009, -0/+6wigitywigitywigity-wack!
- MrTeQ, on 10/19/2009, -1/+6dope
- Amshel, on 10/27/2009, -0/+5Rap with musical instruments. Those 4 words really date this song. Unfortunate.
- Remingtonh, on 10/19/2009, -2/+7no.
- maccagrabme, on 10/19/2009, -0/+5Well what went wrong? At least I can listen to this, his new crap is taking itself far too seriously and I struggle to listen to a whole track.
- brownsound00, on 10/19/2009, -0/+4Agreed. Grandmaster Flash (or at least... the old version of him) would not be impressed by hip hop these days.
- warkro, on 10/19/2009, -0/+4so...money changes everything then?
- drgirlfriend, on 10/19/2009, -3/+7Still nothing compared to Tupac's early days as a backup dancer for the Digital Underground. "Loyal To the Game," indeed.
- Pthalio, on 10/19/2009, -0/+4I love New Jack Swing :) few people even know what I'm talking about when i say that.
- benderillo, on 10/19/2009, -0/+4squishy
- willrs, on 10/19/2009, -0/+4old school rap is still the bomb, yo!
- shnuffy, on 10/19/2009, -0/+3This is a pretty sick track.
- inactive, on 10/19/2009, -0/+3Now I clown around when I hang around with the Underground
- MixMastaKooz, on 10/19/2009, -0/+3This was before the use of "the bomb." That old ***** was wiggity wack. It was stone cold groovin'.
- macmcraeart, on 10/19/2009, -0/+3"the bomb" was made famous in the 70s by one george clinton.
- mahonri, on 10/19/2009, -3/+6The models looks slightly different than in his newer videos. I can't figure out the difference.
- We11esian, on 10/19/2009, -2/+5I don't know why you've been dugg down.
Not everyone is a big fan of all rap, but you didn't say anything negative - kelaltieri, on 10/19/2009, -1/+4no, babby. can't you read?
- Altair27, on 10/19/2009, -0/+2Jay Z does not make his own beats. The reason his songs sound good are because of talented producers.
"Jay Z beats" are not Jay Z beats at all. - awtripp, on 10/19/2009, -0/+2If by "best" you mean "richest" then yes.
- nwhitehill, on 10/19/2009, -3/+5I was 4th row at Jay-Z's concert in Seattle last night and he put on the best show I have ever seen. Long live HOVA, best rapper alive.
- john2kx, on 10/19/2009, -1/+3http://www.somethingawful.com/flash/shmorky/babby. ...
- inactive, on 10/19/2009, -2/+4Proof your idols aren't always the "street thugs" they claim to be in their music.
Easy image to sell. - KMFDM781, on 10/19/2009, -0/+2With I could digg you up harder. Digital Underground was the *****. Check out young Tupac in DU.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mnm0FILNb5M - jseres, on 10/19/2009, -2/+4You mean Kanye West's beats. He and alot of other producers make beats for him. Kanye has made some of his biggest hits like IZZO, Bonnie and Clyde, and so on. Just saying...
Plus Jay Z is really known for his lyricism.. -
