The other American Idol Stars have done very well, but they are all very conventional. They are also arguably good in their markets (they even won an Oscar now). Beat-boxing, Scratching DJ's and other verbalized sound effects are nothing new, but they are being applied in a new way - in the remixing of the song - similar to what House music or Rap music or even R&B music have been doing for the last couple of years .... and its becoming more and more mainstream. Kudos to the guy for picking up on it and modernizing American Idol.

This kid is almost as good of a singer as has ever been on Idol add to that he is a real producer. Add to that his other musical talents and I feel confident saying he is the most talented contestant Idol has seen. He thought this rendition out long before hand on Ableton Live.

Way too many 'singers' get by with technology to sell records, along with there image. I can say pretty much every 'famous' person from american idol is pretty talented.
