- teethandeyes, on 05/20/2009, -2/+15Say what you want about these, but they are 1000 times cooler than video game related tatoos
- Tmac90, on 05/20/2009, -0/+9The reason logo at least looks kinda cool.
- borez, on 05/20/2009, -2/+10Seriously you got a ***** Reason tattoo on you wrist, the like, paint by numbers studio package? A 303 a Moog or a DX7 or as daft as it would look the pro-tools logo I can kinda get, but reason? Good lord..
All I can say is it's a good job no girl will know what it means. - Lynxist, on 05/20/2009, -2/+9Oh my lord, that's silly.
- Kidddrunkadelic, on 05/20/2009, -1/+7Can't wait for the future, when a tattooed synth actually works.
- jitterbits, on 05/20/2009, -0/+5You, my friend, are a genius!
- lava, on 05/20/2009, -0/+4probably?
- shutaro, on 05/20/2009, -1/+5Synthesizer Patel... Is that you?
- borez, on 05/20/2009, -1/+5Err FTR mate Kanye and T-Pain probably use AutoTune on their voices, and a horrible effect it is too.
- BlackJackJester, on 05/20/2009, -0/+4Dugg for MOOG - the best music ever.
- loneraver, on 05/20/2009, -0/+3Pro tools is still the industry standard only because it's the industry standard. Many other DAWS have surpassed it.
- eviltrunkz, on 05/20/2009, -1/+4the Reaktor logo wasn't too bad either. at least you could pass it off as something else...
- inactive, on 05/20/2009, -0/+3You obviously know absolutely nothing about synthesizers.
- inactive, on 05/20/2009, -3/+6Reaktor is the best synth ever. Although Alchemy from Camel audio is close. You can import a .PNG image and it' s additive engine will analyze the spectrum and make a sound. Sometimes you get noise but sometimes you get wonderful soundscapes. aAnother cool thing about Alchemy is the additive resynth. You can import a .wav of a simple snare drum hit and turn it into the sound of a lion who's in distress because he just got kicked out of his own pride and can't hunt because he had half his paw bitten off so he's just lying low in the bushes.
- 4NDr01D, on 05/20/2009, -0/+3Autotune is made by Antares and is different than vocoding
- andest01, on 05/20/2009, -0/+2define "real instrument" please
- Shigglyboo, on 05/21/2009, -0/+2Ableton Live & Sonar Producer FTW!!!!
- hugstain, on 05/21/2009, -0/+2those bastards can't steal these synthesizers
- inactive, on 05/20/2009, -1/+3When i saw this i just new the 303 would be in there.
keep an eye out at garage sales for them, a good one can get over $2000 on ebay. - inactive, on 05/20/2009, -5/+7I *****' hate tattoos!
- jmob, on 05/20/2009, -0/+2actually, that's a picture of me. I kid you not:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/joshmobley/573769049/ - andest01, on 05/20/2009, -0/+2^ correct.
- Jektal, on 05/20/2009, -0/+2Where's the RRoD tattoo go?
And tattooing a console controller to your sack isn't going to get more teenage boys to play with it, no matter how much you wish it might. - inactive, on 05/20/2009, -2/+4I have nothing against tats, and god knows I love me some synth, but most of these look terrible.
- inactive, on 05/20/2009, -0/+2If you're intimidated by the "stupid knobs", you probably picked the wrong instrument.
- irvin666, on 05/22/2009, -0/+1I only see one spelling error. This tells me that you have a low self-esteem.
By the way, How do you spell fortay? =) - jrtcs, on 05/21/2009, -0/+1Rick Wakeman? Is that you?
- Shigglyboo, on 05/21/2009, -0/+1it's also available via Melodyne & Roland V-Vocal
- teemingvoid, on 05/20/2009, -0/+1thats cuz you already put the one of the synth in the prime location
- jeffwmartin, on 05/21/2009, -0/+1It appears that spelling isn't your "fortay" either.
- MonkeyNews, on 05/21/2009, -0/+1Yeah, but in the same way as getting a slap across the face is not as bad as getting shot in the head.
- BrapAllgood, on 05/21/2009, -1/+2I was weaned on Cubase, but Ableton Live is a lot of fun for me nowadays. It really doesn't matter which you use...it matters how you use it.
"Industry standard" is a ***** thing to say, especially when the 'industry' is losing headway to the bedroom/garage studio more and more every day. - borez, on 05/20/2009, -0/+1@lava: I know they do, but this is digg... Somebody is bound to find some magazine reference somewhere where they claim they actual don't.
@undacted: no flames where launched tis OK. - ryanhayn, on 05/21/2009, -0/+1If you have a synth tattoo and I ask to hear your music, it better not suck.
- jmob, on 05/21/2009, -0/+1www.myspace.com/neoverse
- loneraver, on 05/23/2009, -0/+1I do love Sonar.
- jeffwmartin, on 05/22/2009, -0/+1You have a brake on your car. You break up with your girlfriend. Bitches is the plural of bitch. Bitch's is the possessive of bitch, so it would be "bitch's name."
Forte.
My self esteem is fine, I was just making a joke. - inactive, on 05/20/2009, -0/+1I'm proud to be one of the 500> owners of an Old School Voyager, but I wouldn't appreciate having all the details of the front panel tattooed to me!
- inactive, on 05/20/2009, -0/+1You're not Wendy Carlos' biological child. I can guarantee it.
- inactive, on 05/20/2009, -0/+1I was told "You can buy a house with synths, good luck buying a house with videogames," before my dad bought me my first Minimoog.
- awtripp, on 05/20/2009, -0/+1Larry Fast would be proud.
- inactive, on 05/20/2009, -0/+1I was just messing with ya. Once you learn how to use it, it's a hell of a lot of fun. My friend has one of those microKORGs and it's awesome. Good luck.
- loneraver, on 05/20/2009, -1/+2and they will stay cool for a lot longer than the video game tatoos.
- loneraver, on 05/20/2009, -0/+1I'll get dugg down for this but minimoog is a bit overrated. It's limited in its range of sounds.
Sequential Circuits Prophet 5 was an amazing step in the right direction. - inactive, on 05/20/2009, -0/+1I have an Ensoniq fizmo and a Roland JD-800. Had those before good soft synths were even on the market. but I honestly like the faster editing and infinite sound possibilities you get with reaktor and alchemey.
They are all controlled with my Akai MPK so it's about as hands on as you can get.
An SH-101 is just a boring analog with a limited range of sounds and you'd have to retrofit it to incorporate it into a modern studio so it's def not a good start. - andest01, on 05/20/2009, -0/+1^ wrong. Trance crap would be a Novation BassStation, a JP-8000, and one of the virus lines. Or any Elektribe. Good instruments, but over used in trance.
Reaktor goes way too deep to be passed off as merely a trance machine. - mannyqui, on 05/20/2009, -0/+1.....ok?
- Tmac90, on 05/20/2009, -0/+1hahha awesome. To bad FL studio's logo is so "fruity". You have a myspace for your tunes?
- jshhmr, on 05/20/2009, -0/+1I wish I could get a Korg M-1 tattoo. That is still one of my favorite synths. The Korg Oasys is cool too!
- inactive, on 05/20/2009, -0/+1I only unboxed it yesterday. I'll get the hang of it soon. Don't worry. I had extra money to drop, so I went for a synth because I've heard good things about them. I'm an electrical engineer, so I'm good at learning what knobs do =P
