UK Band Had No Money, Used CCTV Cameras to Make Music Video watch!
youtube.com — Unable to afford a proper camera crew and equipment, The Get Out Clause, an unsigned band from the city, decided to make use of the estimated 13 million CCTV cameras seen all over British streets. Afterwards they wrote to the companies or organisations involved and asked for the footage under the Freedom of Information Act.

- orangekid13, on 05/09/2008, -0/+1there are handheld camera shots in that video, so someone had some money
- WheresWallE, on 05/09/2008, -0/+0*****, have you ever seen CCTV programs on television, you know, the ones with the fights. If the CCTV shots were of this quality, people would actually watch them.
This is lies, and a ***** song too. - mellomeh, on 05/09/2008, -0/+1I understand that this is supposed to be some kind of subtle dig at this mythical 'Orwellian police state' that we don't actually have in the UK. If a member of the public can film whatever they want in a public place, as occured several times in that video on a handheld camera, then why can't private companies and the police do so too? That 13 million figure is inaccurate, it comes from the Telegraph's report on this very video and nowhere else. According to the BBC, the figure according to one recent study is more like 4.2 million and the majority of these are on private property.
And that song is terrible.
