This is incorrect. We know exactly where the leak came from; it came from the Australian version of the online music store GetMusic, who accidentally started selling the album early.

Call Bono a prick all you want, but he does a lot of humanitarian work. And make light of them being a band that has no business dealing in world affairs, but their tours have taken them all over the planet. The magnitude of what they have seen must be incredible. Seems to me if you spend enough time performing in other countries, you get to see how much we are alike and how much we are different.
Kudos to Bono for actually giving a *****.

I know the band loves music, but you get the sense that Bono isn't focused on his old medium anymore. Granted they've had a better run than most, but I don't have high hopes on this one.

I, for one, have a great deal of respect for them as a band that maintains pretty good music throughout their entire careers. At least they aren't like the Rolling Stones....worst super bowl performance ever IMO

U2 should follow suit and do the same, the results will follow, if they are about the music and not about the money.

- revjustin2, on 02/19/2009, -3/+7Why do people insist on being such dicks when it comes to U2. If you don't like them, great, but we've heard it all. (ex - "u2 is old", "Bono is an ass", "u2 is irrelevant", "u2 is rich"). If you have a criticism, why not make it worth typing out?
Not that I know anything about this, but a I am huge U2 fan and have been since 1984 and I have heard from a friend of a friend who has the album already that is pretty good. He likens it to Achtung Baby meets Zooropa in the post-Vertigo world. It's not a complete departure, but its not trash. It's a boring, plodding, whining, slow uninspired death-dirge. I honestly can't believe this is the same band that cranked out War and bled out the Joshua Tree... This album is like "October" if it was done by Starship. I think it's time they took a break and reacquainted themselves with what "Rock Music" is all about.
