In 2006 MTV came in as a powerhouse sponsor of the fest, and since then the line up has changed dramatically. From jazz infused progressive jam bands to the likes of Kanye West. There were 5 or so years before the sponsorship and even on the 6th year they had a decent lineup. As of late they have completely gone astray from their original ideology. Wither this is right or wrong is not for me to judge. I just feel that Bonnaroo has taken a completely different evolutionary course since MTV got involved. If you would like clarification on my opinion here are some links.
