hrabbit comment: "Especially because it sounded like Kenny from south park was singing it" - stuartduff, on 01/05/2009, -0/+33I once had the pleasure of having a go at playing a theremin and it's not an easy task by any means with co-ordination. Great instrument though.
- katzeyes, on 01/05/2009, -4/+35Okay, digging becuase "Still Alive" is only the coolest song EVER. I love portal - and I am such a geek.
- everlast88, on 01/05/2009, -0/+26Does anybody hate Portal, I'm not sure its possible. If somebody did hate it the universe might collapse...
- Onji, on 01/05/2009, -2/+20Not to be 'that guy', but this is a dupe.

He's playing music by moving his hands. - allocate, on 01/05/2009, -2/+15Wow, it took me forever to figure out what was going on here. At first I thought he was singing. Then I found this http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=yh2hmupkipI
That's freaking insane. - SeaMowse, on 01/05/2009, -4/+16My dad (way back in the 'dark ages') had a Heathkit to build a theremin. This was back in the 60's, way before the theremin even became widely known.
- XcentryK, on 01/05/2009, -1/+13*Looks at his left hand and sees OGC*
- FRABAR, on 01/05/2009, -5/+14This was a triumph!
- mrinsanity, on 01/05/2009, -0/+8define "widely known." By the 60's the theremin was over 30 years old and had been written for by world renowned composers like Dmirti Shostakovich.
- inactive, on 01/05/2009, -1/+8Now try it with Master Exploder.
- Gorzki, on 01/05/2009, -0/+7He has the creepiest look on his face as he plays.
- dieboldcracy, on 01/05/2009, -1/+8a guy playing a theramin in a rock band on a video gaming system being displayed on a video projection system..........still won't be able to get laid...very postmodern though
- anselm83, on 01/05/2009, -0/+6A so-called musician doesn't know what a theremin is? Come on.
- Aguyinachair, on 01/05/2009, -1/+7Damn it, I wanted to be a pain and commented that I hated it, just to prove you wrong, but I couldn't bring myself to say that I hated Portal.
- FoxOrian, on 01/05/2009, -0/+6http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mW0B1sipLBI&fea ...
I still think this video [the Gnarls Barkley cover] is one of the best theremin videos on youtube. It just sounds so damn cool. - ekula, on 01/05/2009, -1/+6Good job Simon! Want a sweetie?
- Bobius, on 01/05/2009, -2/+7http://letmegooglethatforyou.com/?q=theremin
- Suilenroc, on 01/05/2009, -1/+6No. Never.
- filldeviant, on 01/05/2009, -2/+7He deserves cake.
- OSXpert, on 01/05/2009, -1/+5Interesting Tidbit: Contrary to popular belief, that sound on "Good Vibrations" isn't a real theremin, its an Electro-Theremin!
- MrNastyOne, on 01/05/2009, -0/+4Spot on but you forgot to mention the HL2 t-shirt that completes the outfit.
- inactive, on 01/05/2009, -7/+11Digg, I'm thinking about killing myself. Should I? :(
- almj, on 01/05/2009, -1/+5Well the jerk store called, They're runnin' outta YOU!
- izzy416, on 01/05/2009, -0/+4I had to look it up too.
- LessThanDan, on 01/05/2009, -1/+5These comments surprise me. Are this many people really unaware of the theremin? There are plenty of videos out there showing the theremin in action.
- aptanalogy, on 01/05/2009, -2/+6Do we get to vote? I'll say no if someone pays me $$$.
- zjbird, on 01/05/2009, -1/+5Why not?
- Princeamor, on 01/05/2009, -0/+4welcome to the new age of nerd superstars...
- zjbird, on 01/05/2009, -3/+6I'm making a note here...HUGE SUCCESS!
- wondertwins, on 01/05/2009, -1/+4Theremin: Ultimate instrument for masturbaters

- MisterFunman, on 01/05/2009, -2/+5Rock Band alone :(
- xenodata, on 01/05/2009, -2/+5Here's a youtube video of the classic digger... showing a How To Play on the Theremin... :)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cd4jvtAr8JM&fea ... - shandromand, on 01/05/2009, -0/+3If you thought that was nuts, check this one out.
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=mW0B1sipLBI&feat ... - DubiousDrewski, on 01/05/2009, -0/+3Man this video is nerdy enough to get ME to OGC
- noerrorsfound, on 01/05/2009, -0/+3This was a dupe...
I'm making a note here? - mHtt, on 01/05/2009, -0/+3The Cake is a metaphor.
=D - tnoy, on 01/05/2009, -1/+3I thought about getting a Theremin once, but then I started thinking that the last thing I needed was something to even further decrease my chances at having sex.
- jbmcb, on 01/05/2009, -0/+2It depends on how sexily you play it :)
- digichris, on 01/05/2009, -0/+2Claudio Sanchez (from the band Coheed and Cambria) using the Theremin:
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=a4oJZ1J7qx4
Pretty intense- at the end of their show he used it... I was always wondering what kinda instrument/contraption it was (thanks again Digg!). Take note of how he uses his head to play the Theremin while playing the guitar lol. - noerrorsfound, on 01/05/2009, -0/+2Perhaps it's not so common to stumble upon a video of it? I assume people looking at the videos are people who have actually heard of it before and decided to look it up.
- Metasquares, on 01/05/2009, -0/+2But the cake is a lie!
- doshindude, on 01/05/2009, -1/+3the theramin is such an awesome sounding instrument, but yet it still sounds really creepy since it deals with RF signals for pitch...not sure why but it just sounds creepy to me.
- coldkill3r, on 01/05/2009, -0/+2Yes, try these out.
http://tinyurl.com/3vfqv - neFariou5, on 01/05/2009, -0/+2it's ok be that guy, I always digg the original even if I digg the dupe too. Thanks
- Abomonog, on 01/05/2009, -0/+2Here we go. The most known song where one of these was used.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rjIf1BdI9CY
Drop some acid and scroll to 1:45 in the tune.
(Not a Rick Roll) - Hoogs, on 01/05/2009, -2/+4Perfect for someone like me who wants to get the vocal achievements but is too embarrassed to sing, even while home alone.
