- hwh43, on 10/12/2007, -1/+18you know, you can filter out the categories that you don't want to read about...
- adjustafresh, on 10/12/2007, -1/+13I can almost taste the danceably melancholic goodness.
- zukeft, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9Yeah, the celebrities section was one I immediately unchecked.
- Rezzy, on 10/12/2007, -2/+10Emo? You've got to be kidding me. The Postal Service is an extremely talented group.
- Tialys, on 10/12/2007, -2/+9I cant wait, I still haven't stopped listening to Give Up, and have yet to find a truly similar band.
- sl4x0r, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6try The Go Find and Architecture in Helsinki
- adjustafresh, on 10/12/2007, -3/+8Check out Electric President.
- xSweetWilliamx, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6So...you don't know what emo means right?
- zukeft, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Is there another site like Pitchfork? Sometimes I think it's a bit too overrated and elitist.
- ReneRuiz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Postal Service isn't emo. It's more like Indie/Electronica
- Logal, on 10/12/2007, -3/+6or Her Space Holiday
- ndm007, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3I'm sorry, but Panic! At The Disco are not emo. Ass.
- ndm007, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Excellent. That should work well for when Apple make the new Intel Mac ad :)
- Logal, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Rock! Its not just that Ben and Jimmy are great together, they are also great on their own. If anyone likes just great electronic music, check out Jimmy's band Dntel, some good stuff there.
- diaverde238, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2zukeft:
Stereogum and Paste Magazine both make good compliments to/replacements for Pitchfork. Stereogum is good for lots of free mp3 downloads, and Paste is just better editorial content in general. - andrewr, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3They did a live show at KCRW(video), it's real player only, but if you get real alternative it becomes less of a pain. Anyway heres the link.

Hey, is this Pitchfork's first apperance on the front page of digg? - adjustafresh, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2If you're referring to "Such Great Heights", Iron & Wine was the band that covered the original by The Postal Service.
- virtualcorey, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Great news! I wasn't sure if there would ever be another postal service album.
- mayostard, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Some new stuff from Jimmy. A taste of whats to come?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WtsVvAFBpUA - aldenhg, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3I'm glad. I've been hearing Give Up all over the place for the last three years and I hate to admit that I've grown tired of it. With any luck at all the new album will be half as good as the first.
- djironx, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3What a coincidence that this news gets released today. Earlier while I was riding in my car I just remembered that I hadn't listened to The Postal Service since 2003 when the album came out. What a great day, i got to listen to one of the best albums ive ever heard, for the first time in two years, And i get the news their working on another album. AWESOME!!!!!
- sipple, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3its not emo...its inde rock, like almost all that you listed are all classified as inde rock
- sl4x0r, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3I'm really excited too, but I hope that this lives up to all the hype that it will get--"Give Up" meant a lot to so many people.
- greyedknight, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I mean seriously who the fetus gives a flying leper about music classifications anyway? You would dislike music that is good because you do not like the genre other people asign it to? No.
There are too many classifications now for anyone to keep track of anyway. - MrTinker, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Jawesome!
- sl4x0r, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1One of my favorite albums of all time. Hopefully we won't hear this one on m&m and kaiser permanente commercials!
- sud0n1m, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Excellent news - Postal Service is my favorite band of the past couple years.
- ericeman, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Wow, so many negative comments! My general rule of thumb: if I don't like a certain style of music, I don't talk about it. There are some things that are just too relative to debate about.
See, I can say that Rap has no merit in the realm of music whatsoever and is basically talking with style but since other people like it, where is it my place to try and influence their preset opinion.
It's all relative so it's fruitless to argue about someones musical taste. To say something as an opinion is a different story but most people here are saying things as if they're fact. - Phantasm, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2I've been waiting for another album! Hope it's good as 'Give-Up'.
- djspike, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2If you guys enjoy The Postal Service check out Jimmy's original project: Dntel.

- evilspoons, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Sweet! Can't wait - I just wish the tour was a bit longer, 'cause I want to see Death Cab for Cutie again!
- Norway141, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Oh, this is so good news. Give Up from 2003 is one of the best albums I've ever heard, so I'm very excited to hear what they have come up with this time.
- Freonce, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1This is great to hear!! Any idea how long it'll take to get done?
- Cyrus89, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1win..
i no lots of people who will be happy to know this news,
So sad can't see death cab thou (dam not being 18)
i have to sell my ticket :( - EmmSee, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Their "Give Up" album was an original work... they actually mixed good melodies with minimalistic electronic-beats. It was a great collaboration of 2 excellent songwriters... looking forward to this new one.
- rasman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Boy, are you dense! Interpol, emo? That, sir, is truly laughable.
- meamog, on 10/12/2007, -4/+4Shoot, Neon Golden is the album name, the Notwist is the band. Sorry.
- NraButtons, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1It's not emo, but whatever - I couldn't be happier to hear that they're working anew. Yea, so what if they've only had one CD? Every single song on it was good. No filler. That's what made them great, is that they had no bad songs, in my opinion. In any case, best of luck to them!
- djupinak, on 05/22/2008, -0/+0Does this mean they will start touring again?!
Does anyone know anything about their touring schedule? It's impossible to find out anything about it on-line. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Check out Paper Route on Myspace... Kind of take that sound to another level.. Check out "cityscape".. good stuff.
- avocadobeandip, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I heard their first video is going to be two guys standing in front of a white screen.
- lukas88, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1great news! I seriously check their website every month hoping to see a new album, and I never do that!
- ericeman, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Awesome, the first album was really really good!
- so1omon, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Only SOMETIMES? Pitchfork is always elitist. That's their schtick.
- sierranovember, on 10/12/2007, -4/+3Welcome to the new digg, better than the old digg. Moran.
