- gvoakes, on 06/29/2009, -5/+50Hulu hates Canadians :(
- JMilton, on 06/29/2009, -14/+57Buried for Hulu.
- dvsbastard, on 06/29/2009, -4/+39The internet has no borders... I wait for the day Hulu (and other content distributors) realise and honour this...
- kingsal, on 06/29/2009, -1/+33Daily Show doing something that resembles actual journalism (well, in a comedy show sort of way), while CNN is reading tweets and Facebook posts from random people.
- Shuk, on 06/29/2009, -1/+26The Daily Show's Iran segments have been more than just comedy, but new social commentary. The last few lines really sum up the feeling that these Iranians are just like the people we see everyday in America, Canada, UK, etc. Even if some of us 'know' this, the segments put a real face to all of it and make us really feel for their plight. Jason Jones has definitely gone up a notch.
- waspbr, on 06/29/2009, -1/+23Dunno if it works everywhere, but this link works here in the Netherlands
http://tinyurl.com/m4xw75 - buzaman, on 06/29/2009, -2/+19It's amazing that we need The Daily Show to prove that the Iranians are not just another group of evil brown people with funny hats who are in desperate need of American Empire F-22 and Abrams tank style liberation.
- hans0, on 06/29/2009, -4/+19again, USA != World. Buried for Hulu.
- avance70, on 06/29/2009, -7/+21plz ban hulu from digg

The segment is under 06/25/09 video 2 of 4 - fcaustic, on 06/29/2009, -2/+12How about an international mirror?
- blippityblop, on 06/29/2009, -1/+9Good segment. If the Daily Show, as a whole, doesn't win any Golden Globes they should at least win one for this segment. Well played.
- freedomischaos, on 06/29/2009, -0/+8Isn't America great?
- fireinbergen, on 06/29/2009, -0/+7Wait so you are telling me that Iran is not just a country of youths who want to kill America? They listen to music and wear jeans and are pretty much just like us? I feel I've been lied and molested by my local American media.
- nickycakes, on 06/29/2009, -1/+7I got more rhymes than tabbouleh got parsley!
- cygnus2112, on 06/29/2009, -2/+8Please don't embarrass us.
- cygnus2112, on 06/29/2009, -0/+6The internet knows no borders. Advertisers and governments feel differently.
People get pissed off when some other entity decides what you can or can't watch. Just check out Iran. - redwire, on 06/29/2009, -0/+5Hulu hates everyone who's not American.
Damn racist Hulu. Not cool. - IronFingerz, on 06/29/2009, -1/+6Hey guys, you know the internets is a little more then two countries in North America.
- IronFingerz, on 06/29/2009, -1/+6the better link.
http://www.thedailyshow.com/video/index.jhtml?vide ... - tgc1, on 06/29/2009, -1/+6And I Canadians hate Hulu.
- Elusis1, on 06/29/2009, -0/+5I agree, the segments were great. Really makes ppl understand that even though we come from different places, we are all human, and deserve love and compassion, not prejudice and hate.
- rabidjester, on 06/29/2009, -0/+4Good to see you, Mr. Helms!
- magus824, on 06/29/2009, -0/+3How bout you try it out and realize there is no commercial before you make a complete fool of yourself?
- cygnus2112, on 06/29/2009, -0/+3I'm sure the Pentagon / Joint Chiefs already have plans for many invasions and wars, including Iran, North Korea, Georgia/Russia, Ukraine, China, Venezuela, Cuba, Somalia, Sudan to name a few.
They always plan for the contingency that the President/Congress will call for a war. That's what America has been doing for the past century or more.
Just because there is little public support for any additional war, I would not rule out a war with Iran in the next decade or two. That's what I thought was the final purpose of invading Iraq and Afghanistan. At least, that's what Iran must feel when looking at a map of their borders. - anshuman, on 06/29/2009, -1/+3Dear Hulu,
FFFFUUUUUUUU
,
The Rest of world. - nichiplechle, on 06/29/2009, -0/+2Maldivians too
- bipolarruledout, on 06/29/2009, -0/+2I love always getting the daily show and colbert report the day after I watch it on digg.
- inactive, on 06/29/2009, -0/+2i hope you realize we have no plans to invade Iran.
But It's fun to pretend we do though, huh? - lovek, on 06/29/2009, -0/+2Give J-Squared and The Daily Show a Peabody Award for this Iran series. And make sure it's known that it's not just because of the entertainment value.
- Zadkiel, on 06/29/2009, -0/+2Jason Jones is Canadian...
- paidhima, on 06/29/2009, -0/+2Jon Stewart has never hid the fact that he believes the traditional news media has become a disgrace. I think he (or his staffers) saw an immense opportunity with the Iranian election coming up, and it just all fell into place with the subsequent protests and abysmal coverage by most news outlets. It certainly showed in their coverage, and I have to hand it to TDS for stepping up and giving us some of the best "fake" news commentary in the show's history. Stewart had a few great interviews, and the JJ Iran pieces were fantastic. It was particularly poignant finding out that a few of the interviewees in Iran had been arrested. Suddenly, the whole thing got very real. Bravo.
- blackmcgrath, on 06/29/2009, -0/+2You'd probably get more diggs if your username was actually "Canadians"
- inactive, on 06/29/2009, -0/+1and Europeans.
- cygnus2112, on 06/29/2009, -1/+2I hope you do realize that even with America, North Korea, Iran, Iraq, Pakistan.. it's never about what the people are doing, but what the regimes, people in power and political/militant leaders are doing.
- RedSaint, on 06/29/2009, -0/+1It started working a few days ago :) Now I don't have to bury so many Jon Stewart/DS submissions.
- chill613, on 06/29/2009, -0/+1watch.thecomedynetwork.ca - Canadians can view the clip and TDS entirely
If you're having that much trouble us a US proxy - nemodot, on 06/29/2009, -0/+1And Argentinians.
- red0711, on 06/29/2009, -0/+1thank you it works in mexico too!
- cygnus2112, on 06/29/2009, -0/+1hah true indeed.
- elitedw, on 06/29/2009, -0/+1Does anyone know the song towards the end, it feels so powerful.
Around 4:25
Thanks - iwatts, on 06/29/2009, -0/+1Has to do with the Canadian networks. Their license to the content of the Colbert Report (and others) usually includes internet rights. I'm sure Hulu would be happy to send their content into Canada without restriction.
- rabidjester, on 06/29/2009, -2/+3Use an American proxy.
- vagrantwade, on 06/29/2009, -4/+5I love Hulu. And I plan to watch it with glee as I watch on my iPhone while riding a canoe down a river of tears from the commenters in this digg.
- edwardr3073, on 06/29/2009, -0/+1you are awesome my man
- inactive, on 06/29/2009, -1/+2I'm sure they have all sorts of contingency plans, but those aren't plans with a capital "P", and we could be at war with *anyone* within a decade or two.
I was replying the bland elitism and lame college kid assessment in the attitude that all Americans need convincing that "Iranians are not just another group of evil brown people with funny hats who are in desperate need of American Empire F-22 and Abrams tank style liberation." - Frostek, on 06/29/2009, -0/+1sithseth - I'm sure you could purchase a UK television licence and then you could view it. We have to this in order to legally qualify for access. That's the real reason it's blocked - it's not due to a regional problem.
