- M724, on 07/06/2008, -6/+29The 80's were freaky. I mean, really freaky. Good thing I was just a baby then and don't really remember much of it.
- zippe, on 07/06/2008, -3/+26take on me isnt scarring! its like the best 80s ever!
- WallnutBoy, on 07/06/2008, -0/+22You're all expecting a Rickroll, so here's Rick Astley's Whenever You Need Somebody.

(Well it should be!) - manzplan, on 07/06/2008, -2/+21some of the 80's videos were incredably appealing, music has gone down hill since.
- inactive, on 07/06/2008, -0/+16The videos from the 80's in my opinion were great and "Total Eclipse of the Heart" was an excellent choice for #1 for this list. I never understood it back then and have to admit that I am still baffled by it now. And yes, I thought it was creepy as hell.
- keviniskool, on 07/06/2008, -5/+20Most terrifying video of the 80s:
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=eBGIQ7ZuuiU - darkchild82, on 07/06/2008, -2/+15The 80's was undoubtedly the worst fashion era (plastic, big hair and colour) but all said and done - it produced some of the BEST music and some of the best pop rock ever!
- iofthestorm, on 07/06/2008, -0/+12Who doesn't know the uuiU?
- jakash, on 07/06/2008, -0/+12I think A-Ha scarred Chris Griffin for life:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jItz-uNjoZA - greenroom628, on 07/06/2008, -0/+10i'm going to nominate, "when doves cry" because no child watching mtv should see a half naked prince crawling towards them.
also, every video ever made by michael jackson. - alexkim804, on 07/06/2008, -0/+9i can't believe they forgot the Safety Dance http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HcOZ6xFxJqg
those dancing midgets gave me nightmares for years. - Rosco, on 07/06/2008, -0/+8Video killed the Radio Star
- inactive, on 07/06/2008, -0/+7looking back can see where the kids of today think we were weird
- Typhoon2009, on 07/06/2008, -1/+8Obvious roll is obvious
I think I've actually memorized that video ID. - roflomg, on 07/06/2008, -0/+7I think that the record labels shot themselves in the foot by not pushing for more music vids on various media outlets over the last 10 years. It is/was by far their best promotional tool. I know I used to sit for hours watching videos on MTV back in the day. MTV can suck a nut now for all I care. And that goes for MTV2 as well.
- Dralha, on 07/06/2008, -0/+6Ahhh the 80's...back when MTV actually played music videos.
- OrangeTide, on 07/07/2008, -0/+6we didn't have ***** emo kids on myspace in the 80s. the 80s RULED.
- inactive, on 07/06/2008, -0/+5The 80's were all about the video - some of those were so bad they were good - Anyone remember Adam Ants Goody Two Shoes...
Love the song - howbad was that video :) - JTJ1210, on 07/06/2008, -0/+5http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XWtHEmVjVw8
- lisaawesome, on 07/06/2008, -0/+5Oh god I forgot about When Doves Cry. Why did you remind me?!
- Gimjee, on 07/06/2008, -0/+4It's pretty funny actually.
- ThatEvilGuy, on 07/06/2008, -0/+4The 80s were the best, lot of people say, the clothing sucked, I but I love it damn it, everything is special about the 80s. The time when movies were good, music was good.
- withears, on 07/06/2008, -0/+4Billy Squire's "Rock Me Tonight" is deeply disturbing.
- replikhant, on 07/06/2008, -0/+4I agree. The "Total Eclipse of the Heart" video creeped the hell out of me when I was a kid, but the Eurythmics video for "Sweet Dreams" ***** me up for good.
- theOster, on 07/06/2008, -0/+3"freaky, yes, but i think that we can also safely retro-apply the term EPIC to the "total eclipse of the heart" vid - and was that ben stiller at the end??
- bflfab, on 07/07/2008, -1/+4Holy crap that's awful. Incidentally I finally get the American Dad scene where Stan's boss comes in singing that song.
- zointax, on 07/07/2008, -0/+3Speaking of Rasputin.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kvDMlk3kSYg
- je12u, on 07/07/2008, -0/+3Not to mention early 80's was the ***** for Sat. morning cartoons!! Then don't forget the mid- 80's when Nintendo came out...***** yea. MTV played videos, TV violence was American Gladiators. Even my gloves changed patterns in the cold weather, it was some good times I tell you.
Edit: I forgot the best part...playing kickball and manhunt OUTSIDE. - mandrakeRaptor, on 07/06/2008, -0/+3Always makes me think of Old School .."Turnaround, Every now and then I get a little bit terrified and then I see that ***** look in your eye"..."cause i need you now tonight, i ***** need you more than ever! "
- bagboyrebel, on 07/07/2008, -0/+3I see nothing wrong with that video...
- Deadpixel1221, on 07/06/2008, -0/+3Hmmm , I wonder why I never saw that on MTV...
- JTJ1210, on 07/06/2008, -0/+3dugg for incredably

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YdpllAHo0ng - bat-21, on 07/06/2008, -0/+2New Order's Bizarre Love Triangle (WTF moment at 2:40)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w77T0AncLKo - ShadySpace, on 07/06/2008, -0/+2I'm pretty sure the conceit of the Billy Idol video was that after he shocked them they all regained their humanity and they had a big dance party to celebrate.
- callinthelaw69, on 07/06/2008, -0/+2RICK ROLL
- Phoenixdown3, on 07/06/2008, -0/+2"Luckily Idol is able to thwart their attack with Nikola Tesla's wet dream, a giant electricity conductor that gives him the ability to give sexually suggestive looks that shoot lightning."
- Thrilltone, on 07/07/2008, -0/+2The Billy Idol video is great
- artwithbyte, on 07/06/2008, -0/+2check out Robert Carradine - Louis Skolnick in Revenge of the Nerds - as the love interest for The Motel's singer. He lays her down softly, sweetly on the beach and then promptly passes out on top of her.
- inactive, on 07/07/2008, -0/+2If you want to see someone's pants explode at the "climax" of the video...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gU7sBgjKDCI
EDIT: ooops its his _other_ head...sorry - leamanc, on 07/07/2008, -0/+2Taco, "Puttin' On the Ritz." Terrifying.
- ronaldmonster, on 07/07/2008, -1/+3How the hell did they miss this one >_>
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JZo9gayhTXw - somedirtbag, on 07/07/2008, -0/+2Rick Astley will never let uuiU down or desert uuiU.

- EricDraven, on 07/07/2008, -0/+2Creepy not just because a naked Prince was crawling towards you, he was getting out of the bathtub. THAT's scarring...
