- errer, on 10/12/2007, -7/+177The Doors? Primus??? Here's my own list:
Worst 1 music magazine of all time
1. Blender - yidali, on 10/12/2007, -8/+165no Nickleback = lame :(
- Tandaemonium, on 10/12/2007, -9/+139The Doors shouldn't be on that list! Neither should Jamiroquai, Blind Melon and The Alan Parsons Project.
I agree with most, though. And yeah where's Nickelback and A TON of others that immediately come to mind? - RpgActioN, on 10/12/2007, -11/+122Yeah, the Doors belong nowhere near that list.
- swooningdisaste, on 10/12/2007, -1/+83worst list of all time.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -4/+70K-fed not on the list? im gonna kill myself..
- DeathJux, on 10/12/2007, -9/+75They ***** nailed number 1, though.
- lava, on 10/12/2007, -6/+68I hate music critics, for some reason they're the only people that don't understand the fact that musical taste is subjective.
- Chicagoland, on 10/12/2007, -1/+54Yes this has to be the worst list in history.
The Doors, Iron Butterfly, Skinny Puppy and Primus are on this list?
Give me a break, those bands are prolific! - MattL920, on 10/12/2007, -2/+48More like 3 Doors Down
- Archiman86, on 10/12/2007, -8/+52I agree..nickelback should DEFINITELY be up there
- nreynolds, on 10/12/2007, -1/+33i think it'd be a good idea to make a "Top 50 worst lists in List History" list.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -9/+39Exactly.
Goo Goo Dolls? Cmon...... - JonBuddy, on 10/12/2007, -5/+35Yeah, tan i agree. I don't like the doors much, but theres no way they are in the worst 50 bands of all time.
- TwinkieTheKid, on 10/12/2007, -1/+28My neighbors aren't on this list, it cant be true.
- JonBuddy, on 10/12/2007, -2/+28The Doors? Wtf? Is he serious?
- hobgobbler, on 10/12/2007, -2/+27This is going in my top 100 magazines I'll never ever read list.
- CptCancer, on 10/12/2007, -3/+27The magazine that puts My Chemical Romance on their cover tells me what the 50 worst artists in music history are, hmm...
- WallyAnti, on 10/12/2007, -6/+27Indeed Nickelback is the worst thing ever.
These "worst band ever" lists are just a stupid idea. If you are going by actual talent.. well Primus is wiiidely known to have one of the best bass players alive. If you are going for taste (which is entirely subjective) then listing the following bands made this guy look like he has none whatsoever:
Blind Melon (listen to more than what is played on the radio)
The Doors (trolling)
LIve (again trolling)
Mick Jaggar (trolling)
Jamiroquai
Micheal Bolton (I hate his stuff but he has talent)
This is an example of a major magazine endorsing trolling to sell issues... I think when in print they just refer to it as "provocative writing" - AAjax, on 10/12/2007, -3/+25No crap, the Doors? gimme a friggin break.
Blender sux ass. - BenSerwa, on 10/12/2007, -1/+22This is complete *****. This guy's taste in music sucks. Emerson, Lake, and Palmer?
- clink0914, on 10/12/2007, -2/+22i opened this.... saw Iron Butterfly at #50.... then closed it...
- floppyparty, on 10/12/2007, -4/+24My buddy refers to *****-rock like Nickelback as "Dragon-Shirt Rock." Polyester Dragon-Shirts from Hot Topic to be more specific.
- rhizome, on 10/12/2007, -4/+22Look, they're just being controversial so they can get some Christmas pageview dollars flowing. Call it The O'Reilly Technique.
Why anyone cares what some third (fourth?) rate hipster mag has to say about music history is beyond me. Let them go back to what they're best at: covering emo and Pam Anderson and everybody can go back to their business. - Asianwaste, on 10/12/2007, -0/+17A lot of people dispute the fact that music creates violent urges. I'm here to squash the argument with the simple fact that listening to Nickelback makes me want to kill Nickelback.
- JonBuddy, on 10/12/2007, -3/+20No way, Primus is weird, but certainly not bad. This guy doesn't know what the hell he's talking about.
- vaduzl, on 10/12/2007, -0/+17Toad the Wet Sprocket , i love damnit
- Zopwx2, on 10/12/2007, -2/+18Also: Primus?!
- N080dy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+16I honestly don't see how some of these can go on there. I could probably rattle off about half of the list that doesn't belong in the bottom 50 IMHO. And I don't see how Nickelback manages to be more than 40 spots better than Malmsteen.
- tito13kfm, on 10/12/2007, -1/+17LOL! You must live 2 doors down from me!
- ZippidyDoo, on 10/12/2007, -4/+20:( Crash Test Dummies owned
- zonk3r, on 10/12/2007, -0/+15The list is from September 2003 so it is missing lots of newer craptacular artists... however they are dead wrong on a LOT of their picks.
- humpy, on 10/12/2007, -7/+22Primus, The Doors, and Yngwie...seriously? I can think of hundreds of bands that are worse. Like the eagles for one. ***** THE EAGLES. *ducks*
- Jubii, on 10/12/2007, -4/+19While I won't argue Cobain's degree of talent, I will give him this:
He and his band was instrumental in ending the reign of those bony-assed, tight-pants wearing, overly feminine looking hair bands.
And I am truly grateful. - BigJ4236, on 10/12/2007, -0/+14How in the hell are The Doors worse than Jibbs or any other talentless ass-tastic rap stars?
Oh wait... It's Blender. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+15Primus is one of the best bands ever.
- potifar, on 10/12/2007, -3/+16***** you man. If you don't like my *****' music get your own *****' cab!
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -4/+17While some of the list might not seem correct, I think we can all agree that the Insane clown posse is a perfect fit for #1.
- erkokite, on 10/12/2007, -1/+14Creed should be way closer to #1 on the list. No Nickelback? Nickelback sucks. Instead they put good bands like the Doors doing on there. Alan Parsons Project? Goo Goo Dolls? Crash Test Dummies? Iron Butterfly? Kansas? Those are all half decent bands. What the hell type of music do these people like? 90's era copy-cat bubblegum pop bands? ***** YOU BLENDER SUCK MY DICK!
This list sucks (apart from the fact that they did nail #1 on the head). Anyways, buried as lame. - dreampilot, on 10/12/2007, -0/+13Blender has historically released really lame "worst ____" in music lists. The Doors? Come on - I'm not really a fan but can respect them for their impact on music. And how can the only boy band on this list be 98 degrees? Blender sucks.
- vuke69, on 10/12/2007, -4/+17Nirvana?? What, are you on crack?
Name another band that mastered not one, not two, but THREE different chords!!!
But anyhow...
What no Winger? - ersnyder, on 10/12/2007, -2/+14What a horrible list.
- ozroy, on 10/12/2007, -1/+12There are a few in there that aren't that bad. Like The Doors (WTF??)
It seems to me they missed a few obviously bad acts. Where is Boney M? A band that should of been shot into the sun for their deplorable "Ra Ra Rasputin" - sievo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+12ELP Rules!
- FBMGriever, on 10/12/2007, -4/+16There were a few that I would disagree with but the #1 spot was so true.
ICP has always has a special reserve of hatred inside of me. - nathanchase, on 05/06/2009, -0/+12Spin Doctors are way better than most people give them credit for. They know how to lock in a groove.
And Primus has no business being on a worst list. No way. - fifaigor, on 10/12/2007, -2/+14Add Kansas to the list of bands that should not be on there.
- Nidis, on 10/12/2007, -0/+11Beyonce, Jojo, 50 cent, Nelly, freaking Pharrel Williams, all rappers, arent on the list. Any modern RnB artists. But Primus is on there, and the Doors, and... Manowar? This list has 0 credibility, and whoever wrote it clearly has pretty ***** ideal's about what makes good music. Whitesnake one of the worst artists of all time? FOAD.
- Jonsey, on 10/12/2007, -2/+13Also, no Black Eyed Peas? Oh how I hate them.
- DesertFlyer, on 10/12/2007, -1/+12I can think of many artist who are much, much worse than Paul Oakenfold.
