- Anim8tor, on 02/18/2009, -0/+35So if you're a rock star, and you make it to 28, do you feel relieved that you made it, or sad that you're on the road to fading away?
- inactive, on 02/19/2009, -0/+24Correction: Kurt Cobain once quoted Neil Young that “it’s better to burn out, than to fade away”

Well, I'd have about $3, actually. - inactive, on 02/19/2009, -3/+16Am I the only one who thinks the new Chris Cornell single sucks?
- homercles337, on 02/19/2009, -0/+11*****, im in my early 30s. I will be lucky to see 40. I make bad lifestyle choices.
- TheScreamer, on 02/18/2009, -1/+12Followed (long after) by Def Leppard. (Rock of Ages for those with failing memories like mine).
- rdhogan7713, on 02/18/2009, -2/+12I think in the Paul is Dead myth, Paul was 27 when he supposedly "died."
- shapchap, on 02/19/2009, -1/+11"They went on to form The Jimi Hendrix Experiment"
really!? UpVenue? - hazypensieve, on 02/19/2009, -0/+10I hope I die before I get old.
- KingRocket, on 02/19/2009, -1/+10Also the lack of any real music talent should keep you alive
- CarStan, on 02/19/2009, -0/+8Does it count if you give yourself a heroin-fix first,3 times the mortal dosis?

Wait, if he was that pumped up with heroin, how was he able to even hold the shogun? - MagicHobo, on 02/19/2009, -0/+8I don't think Amy Winehouse will be remembered as a musician.
- Chainsaw, on 02/19/2009, -0/+8He died when he drank from an open bottle of whiskey laced with strychnine, despite warnings from friends that it might have been poisoned. The man liked his whiskey..
- inactive, on 02/18/2009, -4/+11kurt's mother pleaded with him not to join 'that stupid club'...

- jbob2000, on 02/19/2009, -1/+7Also the lack of hard drugs.
- inactive, on 02/19/2009, -1/+7yeah, neal young can ***** himself, the loser.. neil young on the other hand, whew! i'm glad he's still around..!
- serif69, on 02/19/2009, -0/+6I'd like to revise my previous statement. I had not yet heard the new Chris Cornell song, so I went to YouTube and attempted to listen to it.
What. The. *****.
Now, I like Timbaland, and I like Chris Cornell, but this fills me with rage. RAAAAAGE! - inactive, on 02/19/2009, -7/+13Notice how these musicians mostly all died in late 60s early 70s, the time of the real musicians, none of this crap we have today, full of whiners, and anti-drug spokesman.
ROCK AND ***** ROLLLLLLLLLLL! - DuMbGuM, on 02/19/2009, -0/+6There had to be one of you lol.
- jbob2000, on 02/19/2009, -2/+8What about Bradley Nowell? Cmon, he deserves a mention!
Wait nm, he died at 28 -_- - btschul, on 02/19/2009, -1/+7The 27 Club: MUSICIANS Who Died At The Age of 27
- RansomHoldiay, on 02/19/2009, -0/+6http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/27_club
- LowRentDiggs, on 02/19/2009, -0/+6The Grateful Dead's Pigpen died at 27
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ron_%22Pigpen%22_McKe ... - serif69, on 02/19/2009, -2/+8I'm 27 and a musician. But I've never been in a serious band. Does that mean if I make it to 28 that I can start a serious band and not have to worry about dying at my peak?
- topgigmedia, on 02/19/2009, -2/+8Muse (current band)... I am not the biggest fan, but it is hard to argue that they aren't "real" musicians (as you out it). I suppose I could create a long list of modern day "Real" musicians. Curious, were you trolling to be dugg down?
- blindmelon1, on 02/19/2009, -0/+5They ruled.
- Chirp08, on 02/19/2009, -0/+5I've come across quite a few 27 year old people who like to sing on XBL while playing games like COD, they'd be dead too if it were feasible.
- pitchblack16, on 02/18/2009, -0/+5Good point.
- HardChargerxxx, on 02/19/2009, -0/+5Dugg for KC.
Nirvana, Jane's, NIN, and Ice-T (maybe Henry Rollins too) changed the music world. - TheWorm, on 02/19/2009, -0/+5Muse isn't terrible in terms of originality, but they're a little cheesy and melodramatic for my tastes.
- chookalana, on 02/19/2009, -2/+7But you're not famous... You're safe.
- TheWorm, on 02/19/2009, -0/+5You should probably at least be prepared to back yourself up there...Why?
- lilhurt38, on 02/19/2009, -0/+5why the hell does every song nowadays have to have beats thrown into it? What's wrong with the old guitar, bass, drums, and vocals? His voice sounds like it has been messed with too. He's a great singer and doesn't need to do that, he can't hit the notes he used to hit, but he still has an amazing vocal range. Listen to Say Hello 2 Heaven if you want to hear his voice at its best.
- dillibob, on 02/19/2009, -1/+5I HATE _______! _________ IS MUCH BETTER! ALL OF YOUR OPINIONS SUCK IN COMPARISON TO MINE!
- barfooz, on 02/19/2009, -0/+4Temple of the Dog FTW. Hunger Strike is great too.
- dillibob, on 02/19/2009, -2/+6...Radioheads pretty good...
- Bobbister, on 02/19/2009, -0/+4Hopefully neither because then you begin to mature and realize that fame, fortune, and unlimited pussy are awesome but unnecessary for a happy, meaningful life.
- hrpmike, on 02/19/2009, -0/+4Bradley Nowell had just turned 28
- tinkafoo, on 02/19/2009, -0/+4Just last week, New York Times bestselling author Elizabeth Gilbert delivered a TED speech posing a theory for why artists commit suicide in their prime:
