- one504, on 11/12/2009, -2/+42Holy crap, Steven Tyler's still alive?
- yeeaauuh, on 11/12/2009, -3/+39I just want to tell everyone, I'm not leaving Digg. Thank You!
- TheKriket, on 11/12/2009, -0/+28So, this is all just one big publicity stunt?
- ClatterSquared, on 11/12/2009, -0/+19"Joe, you're a man of many colors. But I, mother *****, am the rainbow"
Thanks for that Steven...really... - 23cranberries, on 11/12/2009, -6/+21Nope. Still don't care . Sorry.
- Zenkitten, on 11/12/2009, -0/+11Steven Tyler and Joe Perry act like an old, bitter married couple. One day they love each other, the next they are asking for a divorce. There has always been some issues between those two, hence the reason why they broke up in the early 80's.
This back and forth will probably continue for awhile since Steven Tyler has been acting distant from the rest of the band lately. I'm wondering if Joe even knew Steven would do that. I bet he found out Steven wasn't leaving Aerosmith the same time everyone else did at that show.
I give it 3 more months and then we will hear that yes indeed, they are breaking up for sure this time. - TrevorBelmont, on 11/12/2009, -1/+9In the 70's and 80's they were still a rock group.
- alexdrod, on 11/12/2009, -1/+8Well I was excited for a little bit there...
- cawpin, on 11/12/2009, -4/+9Incorrect, all the bands you mentioned still rock.
- algaeturd, on 11/12/2009, -0/+4I like it when people threaten to quit Digg over things like front page stories from Huffington Post.
- yosafbridge, on 11/12/2009, -0/+4Erm...I AM this generation of Music Lovers (18 years old) and Aerosmith has been one of my favourite bands since I was about 7.
- acroyear2, on 11/12/2009, -4/+7Uh, it's not like they have a new album, new singles, new videos or anything so who cares.
- algaeturd, on 11/12/2009, -0/+3"I don't like being made a fool."
What if you make a fool of yourself? How do you react when you end up doing that? - hankthedwarf, on 11/12/2009, -3/+6I agree, and I resent the fact that lately Bon Jovi has been made to look like they're enduring rock legends....just because they've been around long enough to milk their moron fans. BON JOVI WAS NEVER GOOD.
Bon Jovi is basically Warrant except they've managed to not implode for 25 years. - algaeturd, on 11/12/2009, -2/+4Yeah, because if something was done in the 70s or 80s, it has less value than if it was made last month if you're under the age of 30.
Favorite movie? "The one I saw last week."
Favorite song? "One I downloaded a few days ago."
Best movie ever made? "Um, I saw it last year...Pineapple Express."
In any kind of culture, whether it's books, music, movies, etc. you can bet your ass that the old ***** is just as good or better as the new ***** as long as you look critically at it all. Aerosmith has never been the best band in the world, but there are very few 'current' bands who will ever match their album sales or concert ticket sales over the past 2 decades. - algaeturd, on 11/12/2009, -0/+2Thank you, Mr. 'I only think ***** that is popular has any relevance' for that invaluable input.
- NYYBronxBombers, on 11/12/2009, -4/+6the 70s and 80s called they want their rock group back..
- Orbital101, on 11/12/2009, -0/+2Ouch.
- kavery, on 11/12/2009, -7/+9Aerosmith, please leave and take Def Leppard, Bon Jovi and Van Halen with you.
You used to be cool, but your days are over. Just stop the embarrassment. - lurrch1, on 11/12/2009, -1/+3But we wish you would...
- Laminarcissus, on 11/12/2009, -1/+3So I guess the tour's not selling as well as they expected...
- yosafbridge, on 11/12/2009, -2/+4Thank you, Rock rules.
- Orbital101, on 11/12/2009, -1/+3Yeah, Wikipedia couldn't help me explain that part.
- inactive, on 11/12/2009, -0/+2But now they are a pop group
- punkcat, on 11/12/2009, -0/+2audience: ...ok...
- jedinate, on 11/12/2009, -0/+2If you call being a skeleton with skin pulled over it, alive, then yes, he is.
- Norse77, on 11/12/2009, -1/+2What's an "Aerosmith"
- Zenkitten, on 11/12/2009, -1/+2If they died in a plane crash after "Get Your Wings" then "Toys in the Attic" and "Rocks" would have never came out and those are some of their best albums ever!
- smayn2816, on 11/12/2009, -0/+1Dude looks like a lady.
- inactive, on 11/12/2009, -2/+3except al jolson didnt go out looking like an elderly lesbian.
- Zenkitten, on 11/12/2009, -0/+1Except I think Steven has been a little more toxic lately than Joe has and it's putting a strain on the whole band. Ever since he divorced his wife and started dating that 30 something year old chick, Steven has been slowly distancing himself from the band and they have been heading down this road the past few years.
- algaeturd, on 11/12/2009, -0/+1That's why they've always been known as the Toxic Twins. They admit it, they've embraced it and they realize if they want to work together, it'll always be like that.
- seinfeld00, on 11/12/2009, -4/+4So, Steven Tyler is not quitting a band that has no future? Carelessness never felt so right.
- cawpin, on 11/12/2009, -1/+1We're talking about bands that rock. Go back to the corner.
- TheRedeemer, on 11/12/2009, -1/+0Wow. Someone's butthurt.
- Mankind121, on 11/12/2009, -2/+2tyler might say hes not leaving, but joe perry says they arent going to wait
http://www.billboard.com/news/aerosmith-s-joe-perr ... - JCH897, on 11/12/2009, -3/+2Don't hate on the guy, and please don't believe everything you read from attention-whore writers. A lot more goes on behind the speculation of media-wannabes and it's important to consider all sides.
- ScottyAnimal, on 11/12/2009, -3/+2Says the guy with the Hulk Hogan circa 1990 avatar.
"I am a real american.." - cawpin, on 11/12/2009, -2/+1Yeah, no future, unlike so many of today's bands. Wait, what?
- damien6669, on 11/12/2009, -2/+1This just in: water still wet and refreshing. More at 11.
- hankthedwarf, on 11/12/2009, -4/+2Why don't you two circle jerk to Nickelback?
- TheRedeemer, on 11/12/2009, -4/+2I didn't care when he said he left Aerosmith, and I care even less now with him saying he's not leaving. I don't like being made a fool.
- inactive, on 11/12/2009, -7/+4Over a decade of Pop fluff crap from FORMER rock band 'aerosmith'. They should have died in a plane crash after "Get Your Wings". They look like 60 year old lesbians and sound like britany spears with more guitars. Garbage.
- TylerDuhrdan, on 11/12/2009, -4/+1Stuck in an elevator
- EricSchC1, on 11/12/2009, -5/+1Damnit!
- Orbital101, on 11/12/2009, -6/+2According to Wikipedia, Aerosmith was formed in 1969. To put a little context on that, Aerosmith is as old and irrelevant to the current generation of music-lovers that Louis Armstrong, Guy Lombardo and Al Jolson were in the year Aerosmith formed.
To put it more succinctly: Steve Tyler is this generation's Al Jolson. - hankthedwarf, on 11/12/2009, -9/+3Who gives a ***** about these dudes anymore other than east coast housewives and guidos? Same goes for Bon Jovi. Bury both of them.
Their only good song was "Draw The Line" and that was over 30 years ago. - inactive, on 11/12/2009, -8/+1Pop group.
