why should i have to pay for some greedy artist that i dont even want to listen to."
You pay for a lot of crap with your ISP bill that you don't use. You also pay a lot of tax for a lot of programs that you will never use, that's life.
I think it's a step in the right direction. If we can get our music for "free" like we do on the radio, then piracy of music would drop almost completely. - Zetter, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Link Broken for me, same story at BBC:

from the article;
"What is called "deep packets search" technology is used in Playlouder's network to spot file-sharing traffic so it can be re-routed to Playlouder's "walled garden", allowing only other Playlouder subscribers access to it."
sounds iffy to me - Tweekster, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0T-Dot:
I pay taxes,what does that have to do with a private profit making organization?
No the ISP really doesnt provide services i dont use. They provide email and a connection to the internet, maybe usenet. thats it.
The record labels seem to think of themselves as such important members of culture, that people cannot survive without their music.
it simply isnt true and the mass people should not have to prop them up. Many people do download music, but it is not universal and shouldnt be supported as if it were. - KdoggMDF, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0This is a good step in the right direction. Now if the RIAA would see this... which wont happen...

- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Good deal if you live in Britain and you like Sony bands. Otherwise, stick to BitTorrent.
- instereo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Too bad they can't bring something like this to the US, but of course the RIAA won't go down without a fight. Bastards.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0This is surprising. Is it naive think the P2P war is coming to an end?
What is Digg?
