The coils aren't synced up with the sound, the lightning bolts are actually *creating* the sound.
There were a few times I thought a bolt would jump out and hit my camera.

Its liek the DJ was playing Justin Timberlake when the tesla coil guys started, so it just background noise.

- KaivenTor, on 03/23/2009, -0/+1I remember watching something like this a couple years back at Dragon*Con where they took over one of the rooms in the Hilton and turned it into a dance floor with twin tesla coils hooked up to a laptop and projector. It played specific tones off the music streaming from the laptop (Though I think they did do the Zelda theme at one point). Lots of fun, especially watching the drunk people dance within 7-8 ft. of the coils.
