Thanks. - moger777, on 11/29/2008, -5/+198Why the ***** do we trade with these ***** and yet have an embargo on Cuba?
- Infidelcastr0, on 11/29/2008, -2/+167Went and listened to their song, not half bad. The way women are treated in fundamentalist countries is disgusting. It's nice to see that this society is starting progress, albeit very slowly.

- Kikinou, on 11/29/2008, -8/+109Damn. You know, if I were a 15 year old kid living in one of these Islamist hell holes and I couldn't look at women, I might find the idea of blowing myself up a pretty appealing idea, for the 72 girls in heaven.
Peace through porn and booze!!! - TotalHalibut, on 11/29/2008, -2/+97....sometimes?
- inactive, on 11/29/2008, -15/+86Is there much of a difference between Saudi Arabia 2008 and Saudi Arabia 600 CE? I am being serious because most of their laws are just pure medieval evil in theme, oh and their religion...ffs.
/facepalm
Oh hey the upside is, if you want to know how the medieval ages were like, just head down to Saudi Arabia...its like a time vortex of some sort. Whoever said that time travel wasn't impossible...I beg to differ. Everything is almost intact, from daily public stoning of women to hand-cutting of thieves. - GMirza, on 11/29/2008, -3/+69Get your facts straight..the ideologies of the Saudi family don't go back to the prophet Muhammad from 600 CE, they go back to the 18th century, from the founder of Wahhabism, Mohammad Ibn 'Abd al-Wahhab (1703-1792)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wahhabism
As a muslim I really don't support ANYTHING that is really happening in Saudi Arabia right now. Islam should be about progression and that is not what is happening in Saudi Arabia. - Revovisionary, on 11/29/2008, -4/+62Here is a link straight to there Myspace page: http://www.myspace.com/accoladeofficial
To quote Stevo in SLC Punk: "I rest my case on this: In a country of lost souls rebellion comes hard. But in a religiously oppressive city, where half it's population isn't even of that religion, it comes like fire."

- mrsteveman1, on 11/29/2008, -6/+36Palin was treated like a moron BECAUSE SHE IS, not because of her gender.

The world will be a better place.
"They cannot perform in public. They cannot pose for album cover photographs. Even their jam sessions are secret, for fear of offending the religious authorities in this ultraconservative kingdom." - TunaFishGangsta, on 11/29/2008, -3/+27So slow that it's hard to call it progress. It's still Islamic law. Women are still beat, legally.
- filldeviant, on 11/29/2008, -2/+25God, this is ridiculous. Why would anyone even stand for this government-- this way of life?
I know, I know, it's a culture I'll never understand, but this is just wrong. If anything, people should be glad they weren't born in a country like this. What a joke. - RedHeadedFreak, on 11/29/2008, -0/+19Haha, I hope that was a real comment.
- crowbar77, on 11/29/2008, -2/+21Is there much difference between Christianity in the early 1900's to 600 CE (at least when it comes to womens rights)? Christianity has come along way in the past 100 years, with the world getting smaller daily hopefully Islam will follow soon.

- CaptShmo, on 11/29/2008, -0/+17imo, track is better than a lot of the pop crap getting pressed in the USA right now...
- NicoNicoNico, on 11/29/2008, -3/+19@ackchrs,
Palin really was a moron. Trust me. I say that as a woman and an informed voter. If she isn't, then Republicans have a really, really bad PR team. She made mistakes that would have looked bad if she were a man.
I will grant you that this country needs to go a bit further with the feminist movement, but that's not a good example. - moocow1452, on 11/29/2008, -1/+17Consider the Following:
Oil. - sh0rtstop00, on 11/29/2008, -5/+21they speak English?
- Syric, on 11/29/2008, -0/+16I was surprised myself. I assumed the interview was translated, but their song is in English as well. I was actually interested to hear some rock in Arabic, but I guess they're not it.
- HastyBoom, on 11/29/2008, -2/+17lol. wut?
- ZZOTH, on 11/29/2008, -4/+18Spicegirls < Sandgirls
- aduckie, on 11/29/2008, -7/+21Should be ***** religion, not just Islam.
- JamesMorris, on 11/29/2008, -2/+15Their song is actually quite good.
- ksalminen, on 11/29/2008, -1/+14Religious oppression is absolutely discusting and the fact that some countries haven't caught up to the 21st century is sad. All the best to this band, I just hope nothing bad happens to them.
- hellsing47, on 11/29/2008, -5/+17This has nothing to do with Sarah Palin and is still a gross exaggeration.
The election is over so just let her fade away for the meantime. - duckley, on 11/29/2008, -1/+13Read this Extraordinarily well-documented book:
House of Bush, House of Saud

Then you'll see WHY Republicans are such scumbags. - clark24, on 11/29/2008, -0/+12Wow... I thought your post was being sarcastic until I read your blog.
- keviniskool, on 11/30/2008, -0/+11People are going to ask themselves, "How much more black could this album be?" And the answer is going to be, "None. None more black."
-Spinal Tap - mrsteveman1, on 11/30/2008, -1/+12How the ***** does that prove your point? Women are immune from being called morons now?
I said one thing and one thing only, palin is a moron. You could read me her public statements and attribute them to some other politician, male if necessary, and i would call that person a moron as well.
You have no real point, you just seem to be pissed that people trashed this MORON and want to label people as being anti-women or something because you can't deal with the simple reality that Palin is stupid. - aptanalogy, on 11/29/2008, -3/+14The block button is getting a great workout today.

- Daiken, on 11/30/2008, -0/+11The government isn't a democracy. There's a king who leads the country. Why do people stand for it? Because otherwise they'd probably be killed.
- fatas, on 11/29/2008, -4/+15But at least they can all have the same husband.
- Mormon frustration - HerrWolf, on 11/29/2008, -2/+12Wow, the song is actually pretty good.
