It was quite fun to explain how the Timpani were actually drums and the piano is a stringed percussion. That conversation didn't last very long...

    what they forgot to mention were the THOUSANDS, upon THOUSANDS of letters james hetfield received saying thank you for saving my life. if it weren't for that song, supposedly, a lot of the people who wrote those letters would've killed themselves.

    i'm a christian, but i think it's funny that when people try to make a point (be they christian or not) they leave out tiny details like the one above.
  • Moldyrutabaga, on 06/26/2009, -0/+5Hehe -- I remember being shown videos like this at high school (semi-private Christian one) in the mid-80s. I would date this one to about 1989 based on the hairstyles. It all started when "Sexual healing" ended up on the cafeteria jukebox!

    Just like we did, most Christians laugh off these cheesy videos. They are sort of the "Reefer madness" of the 80s church activist groups. Though I do think Huey Lewis is evil, just for different reasons. Man, "Hip to be square" was awful.
