- theorymaster, on 03/09/2009, -1/+32Youtube doesn't do justice to the brilliant video. Watch it in HD on their official site:
http://royksopp.com/ - Topkill, on 03/09/2009, -1/+29The first time I ever heard Royksopp was in a Caveman Geico commercial.
- AHuff, on 03/09/2009, -0/+22Glad to see Röyksopp's back! Ever since the cavemen from Geico brought their music (partially) to mainstream, I didn't think we'd see any more. Thankfully, they're still at it! :) Looking forward to their new album later this year.
- inactive, on 03/09/2009, -1/+19Diggers like Royksopp?? I honestly thought I was the only person here who listened to them..
I highly suggest the entire "The Understanding" album if you liked this song.
Once you graduate past that album I suggest visiting Cut Copy, specifically their album "Bright Like Neon Love". Now you're ready for Fischerspooner, I'd start with "Odyssey".
The limits are endless now. Try: The Knife, Ladytron, Mylo, The Presets, and Zoot Woman. - Nateon, on 03/09/2009, -0/+15Melody A.M > The Understanding
- przemeklach, on 03/09/2009, -0/+14This is my favorite Royksopp video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g3SaLg6mLXs&fea ...
- inactive, on 03/09/2009, -0/+9Wow I absolutely love the style and editing!
- Freezingmoose, on 03/09/2009, -0/+9That was a really cool video, and I'm glad I took the time to watch it. I had never heard of them before.
- vikblazin, on 03/09/2009, -0/+9heres the song
remind me
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lBvaHZIrt0o - gkskillz, on 03/09/2009, -0/+9Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but normally HD videos on Vimeo have the HD button up in the corner, and this one doesn't. Therefore it would seem like the Youtube and Vimeo versions are the same quality.
- Kojangie, on 03/09/2009, -0/+8I ***** love Royksopp.
- inactive, on 03/09/2009, -0/+8there always something to remind me
- KMartSheriff, on 03/09/2009, -0/+7This one is bad ass as well. Royksopp - Eple:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jl4rwMZWATs - MCA2142, on 03/09/2009, -0/+6Royksopp + Kings of Convenience = Crazy Delicious
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7q0TUQRt3iw - bpwrinn, on 03/09/2009, -1/+7That was pretty freakin' cool.
- Ciryon, on 03/09/2009, -1/+7Røyksopp owns. Norway is a good place for electronica. Also check out Ralp Myerz and the Jack Herren Band.
I've played with them a couple of times - very very good musicans and awsome personalities.

What the ***** did you expect? You attempted to hijack this page with that ***** excuse for painting and music which contributed absolutely DICK-all to the main topic. You're Just asking to get flamed. - BossKey, on 03/09/2009, -1/+6While "Eple" was not the song in the Geico commercial, a snippet of "Eple" was played in the background of the intro animation played only the first time you booted a Mac OS X 10.4 system after installation or right out of the box.
- haentz, on 03/09/2009, -0/+5You know you can click the "HQ" button in Youtube? The vimeo video is also not in HD, btw...
- Spamcan, on 03/09/2009, -0/+5Invaders! Possibly from space!
Awesome video, great song. The Prodigy should have done something with Space Invaders for the Invaders Must Die video, not that Mickey from Dr. Who wandering around a field isn't good too.. - MasterGrief, on 03/09/2009, -0/+5I'd heard it previously, but the Geico commercial was the time I heard it and had the sense to do a Google search with some of the lyrics in quotes so I could find it. Fantastic song, fantastic duo.
- make7upyours06, on 03/09/2009, -0/+4trentemoller remix?
- hitchhiker009, on 03/09/2009, -0/+4Röyksopp? nice to see them here! nice!
- jeuhrn, on 03/09/2009, -0/+4It's Røyksopp, and ö and ø is the same sound, pronounced like the i in bird.
- damntourists, on 03/09/2009, -0/+3i've always really liked royksopp's videos. this has such a fresh style of its own.. i love it.
- grewil, on 03/09/2009, -0/+3This is one of their best songs. Guest appearance on vocals, she's got a strangely great voice:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RmSL0uqzLSY - inactive, on 03/09/2009, -0/+3If you like them (or anything that is "techno/dance/trance/*insert*) also listen to "Only this moment," it's a pretty good song.
- Steeple, on 03/09/2009, -0/+3yes, i ***** love Royksopp too.
- cloudberries, on 03/09/2009, -0/+3Then you'll thank yourself almost seventeen million times for looking into "Melody A.M." yes you will
- Radan, on 03/09/2009, -0/+3Bosskey:
That was actually the first time I ever heard something from Röyksopp. Been a fan since then, especially of Someone else's remix of Remind me which is perhaps one of my favourite songs of all time.
Ironically, quite few know about the original mix http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=in6D0vbC1sM which is also very good, but in an entirely different way.
I'll go ahead and link to some other songs.
What else is there?

and great music video to boot : ) - gavnic, on 03/09/2009, -0/+3I love Röyksopp
- LittleFishChan, on 03/09/2009, -0/+3Röyksopp is pretty awesome. Melody AM is a very good, CD, check it out. (http://www.amazon.com/Melody-M-Royksopp/dp/B00006J ...
- MrBrother, on 03/09/2009, -0/+2same, but this new one is growing on me fast :)
- Anthropoid, on 03/10/2009, -0/+2I recommend Vimeo links when you can find them. They're usually (but not always) higher quality.
E.g., here's "Remind Me:"
http://vimeo.com/2285902 - killahwhale, on 03/09/2009, -0/+2If you like Royksopp check out Boards of Canada.
- inactive, on 03/09/2009, -0/+2Isn't it officially: Röyksopp? Or are those the same thing?
- oriondr, on 03/09/2009, -0/+2<3 jeg elsker Röyksopp.
- oriondr, on 03/09/2009, -0/+2here's mine:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WOt15JsLloU&fea ... - sockpuppets, on 03/09/2009, -0/+2Yeah it's not like they were in some huge Geico ad or anything.
- Remelox, on 03/12/2009, -0/+2You know, I keep hearing about the Europe place, that they supposedly have good music, but in America I see nothing about it. You wouldn't believe how hard it can be to come across anything new here. All the radio stations are becoming carbon copies of each other and they are all controlled by the American divisions of the record companies. It's all American with some British here and there and if we want to be really exotic, Australian or German.
I usually have to go to an effort to find anything outside of what the corporations push. I love the websites that tell you where commercial music, like from Geico, comes from. Or the sites that list music from television, like Top Gear that uses so much music that there is a web site to tell you what is playing by time code down to three second clips. It's not that I don't like anything American, I'm not trying to be counter-culture here. I just don't like what the corporations want me to like and my taste seems to get a little more international as I get older. - Lemonseamonkey, on 03/09/2009, -0/+2"So Easy" off of Melody A.M. as well. great ambient music
- sockpuppets, on 03/09/2009, -0/+2That kind of creativity just blows my mind.
- davidjunit, on 03/09/2009, -0/+2I miss [MTV] AMP. This would fit in with the other obscure videos they had on there.
- waseemthedream, on 03/09/2009, -0/+2I guess I'll do the obligatory, "I, for one, welcome our new galagatic overlords."
- Motozero, on 03/09/2009, -0/+1I new these guys were cool when I first heard them.
- paradoxregina, on 03/10/2009, -0/+1Coooool to see Røyksopp are back. They are close friends of my cousin FROST, and they do some work together. They share this very Scandinavian sound. FROST http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a4hYi5CBQrE&fea ...
- HomeBoy123, on 03/10/2009, -0/+1*møller
- daxter241, on 03/09/2009, -0/+1this song fits right in between the albums of Melody A.M and The understanding......its not quite as ambient as Melody A.M but its not as far out their as the Understanding....
their new cd sounds great btw, better than the understanding but not as great as melody a.m - Anthropoid, on 03/10/2009, -0/+1Did you remember to hit the "HD" button on the Youtube version?
