- Sebach, on 07/05/2009, -4/+250I was hoping to see them do the dance.
- normalizer, on 07/05/2009, -2/+142It needs more cowbell.
- inactive, on 07/05/2009, -14/+146Title is misleading. They played Thriller, not performed. If they performed they would of done the zombie dance.
- nicksource, on 07/05/2009, -2/+132The perfect distraction for Ninjas to infiltrate.
- Cole2026, on 07/05/2009, -5/+131A little off topic, but after MJ's death I ended up reading about his life a bit. I have to say that all the MJ, "Wacko Jacko" jokes and such that everyone (including myself) partook in were extremely unwarranted and overall just another way for humanity to show its ugly colors. He led a troubled life in which circumstances came to fruition that were not entirely his fault. His father whipped him as a child, and apparently even beat him. In the 1980s/early 1990s, he was diagnosed with both vitiligo (loss of skin pigment, which is why he turned so pale) and lupus. It is suggested that he also suffered from body dismorphic disorder (which explains the insertion of a cleft into his chin and all of the rhinoplasties; he had no concept on how he was perceived by others) and anorexia nervosa.
Jumping ahead, the Jordan Chandler child sexual abuse case, from what I can tell, was just a ploy to ruin Jackson’s reputation. Even Chandler, the boys father, is quoted as saying , "If I go through with this, I win big-time. There's no way I lose. I will get everything I want and they will be destroyed forever...Michael's career will be over." The mother was emphasizing as the case begun as well that there was no wrongdoing on Jackson’s part. Now, after an injury relating to the collapse of a stage rigging during a tour and continuing joint inflammation from lupus, Jacksons started taking painkillers, Valium and Ativan, as well as Xanax for panic attacks and stress from the allegations of child abuse. He was addicted very soon afterward, and his health became so bad that he canceled the tour he was on and went into drug rehabilitation. The stress from the allegations caused Jackson to stop eating too, which caused him to lose a ton of weight. Jackson’s legal advisors believed that Jackson could not endure lengthy trials, so he settled out of court for 22 million with the family. Jordan stopped collaborating with the police after this settlement for a criminal trial, and the case was closed for lack of evidence. If you or your child was raped or assaulted, or sexually abused, would YOU settle for 22 million? I would never want that man to walk free again.
Now, in his lifetime he redefined the music industry, influenced modern pop, R&B, and hip-hop, and holds the record (by far) for most albums sold in the world with Thriller. His music catalog holdings could be worth billions of dollars. He helped break down racial barriers (bringing black artists / music videos to MTV, as an example). He founded the Heal The World Foundation in 1992, which sent millions of dollars around the globe to help children threatened by war and disease. He donated all profits from the Dangerous World Tour to the HTWF. He helped draw public attention to HIV/AIDS after Ryan White’s dealth, which was still controversial at the time. He actually was listed in the guinness book of world records for his support of 39 charities, more than other entertainer or personality.
Now I do not know whether Michael Jackson had sexual relations with any children in his lifetime. I do not understand why he got all of those plastic surgeries. But I feel as though he is a man who (already with a ton of issues related to health and childhood) was unfairly represented by the media and tabloids and whomever else profited off of his demise. I resent any Digger who calls Jackson a waste-of-life, or a pedophile, or anything else derogatory. He was acquitted on both cases brought toward him on child sexual acts—and although we cannot know for sure if he did anything to those children, it is unfair to demonize him based on indeterminate evidence.
Was Michael Jackson sort of crazy in his latter years, probably—I mean, he dangled his child over a balcony. But I see a man scarred by a bad childhood, a vast array of medical issues, and a man who HAS BEEN UNDER consistent observation his entire life. I could not imagine being criticized for everything I do or handling with the rumors of tabloids and gossip journals—I could not see many men going through that type of life in a sane fashion. His legacy both in charity and musical art will live on though, and again, although I do not know the truth behind his child allegations (however I do believe in the American Creed of innocent until proven guilty, and he was never convicted), I hope he finally can rest in peace and finally be out of the spotlight. - walgman, on 07/04/2009, -7/+84Micheal would have absolutely loved that I'm sure.
- goldfenix, on 07/05/2009, -18/+61Absolutely inferior to the prisoner remake of Thriller.

- spvn, on 07/05/2009, -0/+21You mean for Zombies to inflitrate. They could just come in dancing and everyone would think it's part of the whole thing.
- jordanlgta, on 07/05/2009, -0/+19Yes! And steal....
....tea and crumpets! - inactive, on 07/05/2009, -0/+19You sir write a compelling essay. One of the few times I've ever read that long on digg. Nice work! You do make a good point, if a man is even accused of such things, it's game over (sexual assault)
- MacBandit, on 07/05/2009, -0/+19That may be true but by that fact that this is the Queens Royal Guard gives it the higher emphases.
- aseriesoftubes, on 07/05/2009, -1/+20Like Left 4 Dead, Thriller just doesn't work without the zombies...
- neom, on 07/05/2009, -2/+20I'd have loved to see a bunch of Beefeaters preforming the thriller dance with them. That would be pretty cool.
- scuba7183, on 07/05/2009, -0/+16Ninjas don't need distractions
- tech42er, on 07/05/2009, -0/+15That is a great, level-headed analysis of Jackson's life and his treatment by the media. It's sad that he had to die to make people wake up and realize the amazing things he's done instead of treating him like nothing more than the punchline to some sick joke. But at least we can finally appreciate him.
- DDme, on 07/05/2009, -0/+14You mean, absolutely completely different to the prisoner remake of Thriller
- jordanlgta, on 07/05/2009, -4/+16I know Greg2k already said it, but it is WOULD HAVE. You are 28 years old? Really? Really???
- lipiddrip, on 07/05/2009, -3/+14When they played the national anthem after 9-11 it was better. This wasnt even a tribute, they specifically say that.
- mysticalone, on 07/05/2009, -2/+13flash mob of lawyers with cease and desist letters.

- inkubusfan, on 07/05/2009, -0/+11very well said. you just put into words (quite elegantly btw) what I've had swirling in my head for days. Thank you so much for your insight. DUGG!
- Philbert, on 07/05/2009, -1/+12Yeah, especially when I saw them all lined up like that.
I'm sure you've all seen the Final Fantasy: TSW DVD easter egg:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=68P39iGAgRc - magnetarc, on 07/05/2009, -3/+13'Would of' is not commonly spoken whatsoever - it is only commonly written (and this does not make it right).
What people are saying is the correct 'would've' which is the abbreviated form of 'would have.'
I also find it amusing that you start your post slating Grammar Nazis and yet still insist on correcting other people's grammar out of pedantry. - thomas040, on 07/05/2009, -1/+11I'm gonna reply to this, just to make people read your post.
- EnTaroTassadar, on 07/05/2009, -4/+14Quit being a dick, and have some respect for the dead.
Jackson was a really ***** up individual. He went through a lot of hell as a child with an abusive father, and he had an unhealthy obsession with plastic surgery (likely caused by his father criticizing Michael for his appearance), and has always had a negative appearance in the media. The guy had a lot of psychological problems that was caused partly by his father, but mostly by you and me, and the rest of the world who irrationally gave this guy a bad name.
I believe he was a weird person, but in all honesty, I sincerely doubt he ever did anything with those children. Have you even reviewed the case? The mothers of the kids kept changing stories and had histories of fraud. Jackson was weird and had a weird obsession with childhood (since he never got a chance to experience his own), so he really seemed like the perfect candidate for this type of accusation.
So shut the ***** up, alais, and as I said earlier, have some respect for the dead. - NoamChimpsky, on 07/05/2009, -1/+11OJ wasn't convicted either.
- thejackyl, on 07/05/2009, -2/+11They performed the SONG "thriller". So I think technically the title is correct.

- NickLee808, on 07/05/2009, -0/+9Actually, I think Left 4 Dead could work quite well with bears.
Lots and lots of bears. - Ryan0617, on 07/05/2009, -2/+11Hes a nobody in Britain thats why he has no tribute.
- jester55, on 07/06/2009, -1/+10Usually I don't read huge posts like yours. But I'm glad I did.
- WhatPeriod, on 07/05/2009, -0/+7I'm sorry that you have nothing to say about your life other than this.
- affiliatebroker, on 07/06/2009, -0/+7would YOU settle for 22 million? I would never want that man to walk free again.
WELL said. The rest too, but this stands out the most. Thanks! - MrSkills, on 07/05/2009, -1/+7The Star-Spangled Banner is not "the" national anthem in the UK.
