- fishbeef33, on 11/05/2009, -5/+21Weezer is not "known for its hipster coolness." It's known for "being that band that was once very good but stopped trying after Pinkerton because shallow rock anthems made them more money than artistic integrity."
- angrytortilla, on 11/05/2009, -0/+14But wait, if you call now, because you know we can't do this all day, we'll throw in Rivers Cuomo absolutely free.
- burbankmarc, on 11/05/2009, -0/+12Say it ain't so!
- void, on 11/05/2009, -0/+9Damn weezer wtf happened to you? Bring back your old style of Pinkerton, or the blue album :(
- philomatic, on 11/05/2009, -0/+8Slanket is so much better
- iguanapunk, on 11/05/2009, -0/+7They should make one for men that has a tent shape around the groin area so we can have a wank without arousing suspision.
- Halsfield, on 11/05/2009, -1/+7Comic irony only insures you for so much stupidity before you are just being lame. The wuggies are definitely over that limit.
In other words, you can put on a pink tophat and purple zebra-striped tuxedo, and tell people you're doing it to be ironic and to defeat social norms. You'll probably attract loads of teenage followers that think your style is the new cool thing, but you still look ridiculous, ironic outfit or not. - trx131, on 11/05/2009, -1/+7They've become Fall Out Boy, they just hope Lil Wayne will help them sell records
- AndrewDB, on 11/05/2009, -0/+5I cannot be the only person on the planet who wants the snuggie craze to burn up like a California wild fire.. and be done with.
- deweyhewson, on 11/05/2009, -0/+5Raditude is by far the worst Weezer album ever. The only thing it has going for it is consistency, but that's more of a backhanded compliment since it is consistently horrible.
The songs sound as though Rivers wasn't trying to write decent music so much as try song after song to create a hook that would be radio friendly, and he didn't even succeed at that. There's no depth here, no inspired playing, and definitely no heart. If I didn't know this was Weezer I would have described the work as some sort of unholy trinity of Fall Out Boy, Jonas Brothers, and modern Green Day.
As someone said above, it's quite clear Rivers' quest for artistic genius peaked with Pinkerton, at which point the lack of commercial success must have convinced him to sell out his principles.
Weezer has always been a band that was popular with teenagers, but now it seems like they are only a band who are trying to be teenagers. And it shows. - ender1984, on 11/05/2009, -1/+5A snuggie and the new album for $29.99? What a great value!
- SPRFRKR, on 11/05/2009, -0/+3Love Weezer, but when I saw Rivers in that BandHero commercial with Taylor Swift, it made me sad for some reason.
- nastri83, on 11/05/2009, -0/+3New album? I thought Weezer made Blue Album and Pinkerton, and broke up shortly after...
/denial - darkism, on 11/05/2009, -0/+3I don't think any image-conscious hipster would want to be associated with the pile of crap called Raditude. The Red Album had its moments, but Raditude is just consistently awful all the way through.
If they're playing the irony card, they're doing it wrong. - Weezergames, on 11/05/2009, -0/+3If they did make another Blue or Pinkerton album. Those albums wouldn't be original anymore. They wouldn't be classics.
- migitalwarfare, on 11/05/2009, -0/+3Saying Raditude is better than the Red Album is like saying solid ***** is better than diarrhea. While yes... it is, it's still *****.
- wjlaw100, on 11/05/2009, -0/+3Hmmm, No Digg.de ?????
Okay google Translate, show me your power!
Just one year after the red with Weezer album coming Raditude around the corner. For her, the situation is extremely fast and an indication that the boys have fun with their work. Complained bandleader Rivers Cuomo used to always be struggling are uncertainties about how to get a new plate. Such questions, he does not exist anymore, but simply does what he wants. It is precisely this kind of exempt benefits the new album. In addition to the Weezertypischen thick guitars, synthesizers and other instruments will find their place on the album. Overall, the album has got a very experimental. For example, "Love Is the Answer" is the oriental singing something totally different, but sounds very good. With "Can not Stop Partying" (feat. Lil 'Wayne), however, try to tell me too much Weezer, with the current chart-house to go to music, making it the only track which I Skipwürdig appear. Otherwise, most of the songs move at a good level, which is probably because these are once again rocking than its predecessor, which was much softer. Songs like "(If you're Wondering if I want you to) I want you to," "I'm your Daddy," "Put Me Back Together" and "In the Mall" because one of the clear highlights. Finally Weezer build with "I do not want to let you go" again for a special atmosphere, which closes the album beautifully.
Raditude for me is better than the red album, Make Believe, but achieved due to a catastrophic failure (Can not Stop Partying) is not the highest rating. Nevertheless, the record is well worth hearing.
Google Home - About Google Translate Beta - DredPir8Robrts, on 11/05/2009, -0/+2Ooooh ironic. Weezer is so anti-establishment!
- imronburgundy83, on 11/05/2009, -1/+3Is Weezer even relevant any more? And who says they're a rock band? That's just as bad as when Madonna was inducted into the Rock 'n' Roll hall of fame.
- thefbimonkey, on 11/06/2009, -0/+2Weezer ***** sucks now, "Troublemaker" is one of the worst songs I have ever heard. *****.
- killerknives, on 11/05/2009, -0/+1Raditude*
- CaughtThinking, on 11/05/2009, -0/+1Yeah seriously. Weezer is too f'n unoriginal to come up with something this ironic.
30 ROCK FTW. - Konformitee, on 11/05/2009, -1/+2I swear to god that song sounds like something you'd hear in an iPod commercial. I never equated it to Weezer after hearing it though, I just thought it was some lame up and coming pop band Apple was advertising on iTunes.
- compl3x, on 11/05/2009, -1/+2:( I hate sleeved blankets

Never understood 2-track lists... - BESsy, on 11/05/2009, -0/+1Are you kidding me, have you ever listened to Maladroit? It is the best album they ever released, by a long shot.
- Konstantino, on 11/05/2009, -0/+1If it works, who's complaining? The article even says its meant to be ironic, and no one's making you buy one.
- mywhitenoise, on 11/05/2009, -0/+1Reminds me of Bowling for Soup with Lady Gaga producing the *****.
- casualgod, on 11/05/2009, -2/+2But something so uncool is always cool.
- mywhitenoise, on 11/05/2009, -1/+1Have you heard the new album? You'd have to pay me $29.99 to listen to that piece of ***** again. Weezer has hit an all time low.
- NidStyles, on 11/05/2009, -2/+2I grew up with the drummer from Weezer. They started out as a Soft Punk band. The money went to their head's I guess. Even after their single Buddy Holly, they had turned into media whore's.
- mousky, on 11/05/2009, -2/+2Artistic integrity doesn't pay the bills. Besides, what exactly is artistic integrity?
- mywhitenoise, on 11/05/2009, -3/+1Not selling out and putting Lil Wayne rap on one of your tracks. Not selling out and hiring producers of Britney Spears and Miley Cyrus to produce your albums.
- ShiftyBizniss, on 11/05/2009, -3/+1Pinkerton?
A very worthy follow-up... go have a listen. - link899, on 11/05/2009, -5/+3Weezer sucks. Blue Album is one of my all time favorite albums but everything after that is garbage (except for a couple singles here and there).
- tgc1, on 11/05/2009, -3/+1You know what, I used to love Weezer. But this is ***** stupid.
- brett1337, on 11/05/2009, -5/+3I agree Pinkerton is my favorite album also, but they have made plenty of good stuff recently including a lot of the Red album.
- skipvt, on 11/05/2009, -4/+1It's time like this when Billy Mays is truly missed...
- koolandthegang, on 11/05/2009, -5/+1If you idiots read the article you would see that they are not selling albums because of all the music "sharing" and thus are resorting to shenanigans like this to make some cash.
Radiohead was making the same point about loss of music sales because of piracy, too in the article from yesterday. Although they've made enough cash off of the masses that it doesn't impact them as greatly.
--- - jeremiahjw, on 11/05/2009, -7/+1I'd never heard of Weezer before, so I was trying to figure out why on earth this video was so popular on YouTube. lol
Mit "Can't Stop Partying" (feat. Songs wie "(If you're Wondering if I want you to) I want you to", "I'm your Daddy", "Put Me Back Together" und "In the Mall" gehören da zu den klaren Highlights.
- getsome2k, on 11/05/2009, -11/+1the video sucked, makes me not like weezer.
