It takes a little effort to fight for one's rights. Its our responsibility in our great country. - Andy.D, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3Uh, totally inaccurate. They are not "charged" with anything. (Sadly).

- RayBeckerman, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Agreed that "charged" (in the U.S.) gives one the incorrect impression they were criminally indicted, but one of its definitions is to "accuse"... so technically it's okay. The author is in Vancouver and is a native of the UK, so perhaps he was not aware of the extra firepower the word "charge" -- as opposed to the word "accuse" -- has.
- RayBeckerman, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2charge : "to accuse"
-Webster's New World Dictionary - FoobM, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Technically correct, although we all know "charge" USUALLY intimates that the Government has initiated the case and it is taking place in a criminal court.
